Why do you think that Kaiser doesn’t care about / love ness at all? /genq (I’m trying to understand their relationship better :3)
oh my gosh im so sorry i didnt respond for so long💔 i was in a bit of a slump; my deepest apologizes.
but anyways, i worded that a bit weird. i don’t think kaiser has absolutely ZERO care for ness, but its more that the care kaiser has for ness is more self serving than anything, yk? he needs ness as a midfielder so he can score goals. but furthermore, i think that a subconscious part of kaiser sees ness as an emotional anchor for him (ironically).
but it’s subconscious. consciously, kaiser sees ness as an annoying dog who won’t stop following him, but can be put to use if needed. this probably doesn’t need much explanation, i hope. a subconscious part of him knows that ness understands him better than anyone else, but kaiser’s abandonment issues hates that—he’s scared of another person leaving him (like his mother), so he pushes ness away and begins to force himself to hate ness.
so in simple terms, ness is all-knowing and scarily emotionally intelligent. kaiser, who is crippling with self-doubt and abandonment issues, knows that ness can read him pretty well, so he begins to manipulate and use ness in order to avoid attachment.
