When Spectre was on the couch, T walked out of her room, and went to the couch.
She then sat down and leaned onto Spectre's shoulder, smiling with her tail slightly wagging.
Hiw does Spectre react to @galg-ghost?
Spectre perked up at the touch. She looked over and immediately copied T, smiling. An arm comes around to bring T a little closer.
"Hello, T. Something nice happen?"
@gala-ghost
"Kinda..? I just wanted to thank you for adopting me is all. It's been a little over a year since you have... So I just really wanted to express my gratitude..."
"Oh wow, really? Huh, time really does fly by."
Spectre smiled, her arm coming up to pet T's head.
"I'm glad I could be here with you. Thank you, T. For coming into my life."
She chuckled. "Thank you for using the board, if you hadn't done that, then I wouldn't have talked to you at all!"
"But I'm glad to be able to call you mom."
A familiar Disassembly drone appeared beside the pod.
"Hey J, you around here? I want to real quick talk to you about something."
@gala-ghost tapped her foot a few times with a blank look on her face.
J peeked outside and smiled when she saw Tessa.
"Tessa! It's been a long time since I've seen you!"
She smiled. "Hey! There you are!" T walked over to her.
"Sorry I haven't visited in a while, I've been meaning to. How are you doing?"
"Good, well as good as I can be." She laughed, a bit humorlessly as she led her friend into the pod.
T followed, and chuckled a bit. "Anything new then?"
"Not really." She said, leaning on the door frame.
"Okay then..." She slowly nodded her head. "Does that mean you kid had been wanting to kill you for a while then..?" T said blankly.
J blinked and facepalmed.
"I forgot you are Spectre's daughter." She muttered.
"Yes, she's been planning for quite some time." She sighed.
T nervously chuckled. "Yep..."
"But to the topic on hand, I like having you around, and want to stop, or convince her to do something else... But I wanted to talk to you about them first, as it is your life."
J sighed. "Tessa with all due respect, I don't think you know the full story. I don't think you know what's going through her head. I know you're worried because it's affecting Spectre and probably Cassidy too, but we just have to let it take its course. Plus any intervention from you might make her even more angry than she is now."
T was about to argue, but then closed her mouth.
Right, it's her life, her choice. I can't chose for her.
"I know it's a hard pill to swallow but I was expecting this day to come. Since the day I left her to die." She looked away.
"Doesn't matter to me now. It's your life, so you get to chose what to do with it." She shrugged.
"Uh huh." J said, unconvinced.
"So you came all this way to say it doesn't matter to you? I find it hard to believe Tess."
"Now. It doesn't matter to me now." Her tail flicked around.
"I was meaning that I won't talk to Harlow about it now because you have your mind set, and i'm not going to force you to change it. I'm not even forcing you to slightly entertain the idea and have me talk about it."
"Okay then, what do you want to do now?" She said as she flew up to her nest and looked down.
"Well, I can show you what I've recently finished." She blinks a few times. "Do you want me to come up there..?"
"Yes, you can." She said, making room for the drone.
She deployed her wings and flew up too. T gently landed in the open spot. "Random question, what's with the nest?" She chuckled.
She cocked her head.
"What do you mean what's with the nest?"
"Like, why was it made? And on that note, why was this whole mountain of dead bodies made?" T motioned to the spire.
J arched an eyebrow. "Well I made the nest so that I can sleep in it? And as for the Spire, it was originally made so that my squad and I could have a "home base" of sorts. If you go to other squads, they don't have a "Spire". They sometimes have Spirals or some other figure. It doubles the purpose of a landmark and to show off to other squads on how successful they are."
"Huh, that's neat..." T's tail lazily flicked back and forth. "Is there anything you'd like to do..?"

T walked up to Cassidy, a small smile on her face. "Hey, how have you been?"
Unfortunately @gala-ghost isn't aware of the current events affecting a part of her family...
Cassidy looked up at T. She looked exhausted, but smiled nonetheless.
"I've been... It's been a bit hard these last few days."
Her eyelights occasionally flickered close and she yawned.
"How about you? Anything new?"
Her expression faltered, showing a worried look.
"I've been good, but let's continue this conversation in my room so you don't fall asleep standing." Her voice was soft, but also a bit stern.
"Heh, alright."
Cassidy's arms and legs moved her to T's room, wherein she immediately fell onto the bed.
She softly giggled. "Yep. That checks out." T curled around Cassidy, and hugged them close.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what's been happening this past few days for you..?"
The hug was a small surprise, but one she quickly accepted and returned in full.
"It's something to do with Harlow and The Solver. She's... embracing it more. Letting it have a stronger place in her. I... she said it's only to get revenge, but I know The Solver wouldn't stop there. It just sees Harlow as a tool."
Tears started to well up on Cassidy's visor.
"But nobody is listening to me. Harlow obviously isn't, she's convinced it won't take over. But Jonah... It's like Jonah doesn't care that his loved one is embracing something like The Solver."
She sobbed.
"And... I had to move out. At least for right now. I hope my fears won't come true, and I believe in Harlow, or at least want to. But I just can't share an apartment with either of them. Not when I know they're supporting the thing that killed everyone I knew before."
T held her, and wrapped her wings around Cassidy like a metal blanket.
"... Thank you for telling me... I will do everything in my power to make sure that doesn't happened. I won't let my family suffer from the solver if it's not their choice."
"Can you even do anything?" Cassidy paused. "You've met J before, right? I know Harlow's target is J. Maybe H, too."
"Well, I planned to talk to her. I don't care if I lose Harlow's trust, or her wanting to talk to me, but I was hoping I could bare minimum change it to like, a curse or something that'd hinder day to day life other than death. Not because I don't care about J, but because that's atleast better then her dying... I know it could be easily misinterpreted to J, but I'd rather lose trust than lose someone entirely..."
"But think of it this way, death is a one and done. A curse that still keeps them around? That, that will last a lifetime of pain..."
She sighed.
"Yeah, I suppose. Just... be careful when you do. You're my sister just as much as Harlow it, maybe more."
"I will-." T hugged Cassidy tighter, trying to hide the small tears that were forming.
"Thank you," Cassidy said with a small smile, her arms wrapped around T and holding her tighter.
"Now, unless there's something you want to talk about... I think you need to sleep and I'm going to insure that you at least get three hours worth of it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it." T half teased.
"Heh do you have enough charge for that?" Cassidy joked.
Then she yawned, wiping her eyelights.
"Though some sleep could be nice. Even after moving, I can't get much of it."
"I can run for a week straight without rest. Don't fuck with me or it'll be a day." She joked.
"But do sleep. I want to make sure you get rest." Her tail slightly waged.
Cassidy stretched and started walking to her room. It may not have been visible, but she was smiling.
"Well, go ahead. I'm probably going to crash the moment I touch the bed."
T smiled and let Cassidy go.
Once she was sure that Cassidy was in her room, she walked around the cube to find Spectre.
Spectre was sitting in the lab. For once, she wasn't focused on an IDE or the dismantled drone connected to the computer. In its place was a simple notes application. It was a bit hard to discern from the entrance.
"Hey mom can I run something by you? I trust your input about this more than the sleep deprived drone I just forced to bed." She had a semi flat tone.
T walked into the room and sat by Spectre.
Spectre's attention was immediately taken from the word, "mom" alone. She turned around and smiled at T.
"I take it you mean Cassidy? What are you wanting to run by me?"
"Heh, yes."
"So I found out Harlow wants to kill J. I want to convince her to atleast to change it to a curse like idea. Do you think that's a fair idea, or will that ruin something?"
"Hmmm... Honestly, I couldn't say. I think Harlow does need to fight J at some point. I don't think they need to kill eachother, though.
"I'd say it's worth giving it a shot. Will depend on how the curse is, I suppose."
"I do have another idea if I can't, and that's I make a copy of J's core so she can come back, and I couldn't do it once a week with the suggestion that they keep a journal for in between core scans."
"But I'm not going to sit back when it's affecting Cassidy so much. I also honestly thought you'd fight me against it..."
"Yeah, I don't think that idea would go well. The feeling that J cheated death could make things worse."
Spectre chuckled.
"Trust me, I don't want any of this happening. I... don't know how to help, though. As far as I know, any attempt by me would make things worse. The only thing I could think of was... letting others do it, and probably do it better than I ever could."
"Um... Relocation..?" She lightly chuckled. "We'd just need to make sure that they don't cross paths... Or, Now I know I can't offer a place I'm barely at, Could J possibly live where Tera and Kiara do? Maybe not even in the town they have, but just a completely different planet?"
"I'm not sure about that one. Titanium-28 to my knowledge was the only other hospitable planet after Copper-9 blew up."
She scratches her cheek and looks to the side.
"Also, I'm pretty sure N and V wouldn't be too happy after what their J did to them."
"Ah... And that'd only really work if J and H both died."
"I could also just watch them fight and stop it before J dies." She shrugged. "You have any ideas I could do?"
Spectre gets a stupid grin.
"Uh.........." She shrugged. "Watch them fight and stop it before J dies? That was my plan, anyway."
She smiled. "That could still work. Maybe if that is the plan we work together on it?"
Spectre looked at T. For a moment her eyebrows pointed up as worry was visible. She sighed, shaking it off.
"Just... I don't want to lose you, and I know you'll be in danger."
Spectre relaxed.
"But if you're sure, then I won't stop you. That's my only condition, though. Make sure you fall back if things turn out to be too much."
Her face softened "I won't. Besides..." She turned into her ghost form. "How am I supposed to get hurt, if I'm technically not there?"
"But I promise I'll stay safe. And, I got a good back up plan incase it gets too bad for me." T gave a reassuring smile.
"I mean, wouldn't be the first time you've gotten real hurt while in the drone form." Spectre chuckled. "But alright. And... thanks. Let's hope we won't be needed."
"Hopefully! I kinda want to mess with her a bit..." She grinned with a slightly sinister look.
"But I plan to also talk to J about this. Anything you wanna chat about though?"
Spectre looked behind herself at the desk.
"Is the disassembled drone uncomfortable at all?"
T looked at it then back at Spectre.
"No..? Should it be?"
"No, not really. I just ask from curiosity. Even under the guise of research, I'm pretty sure Ai and Cassidy are still a little unsure about it. You're not a drone, at least not natively, so I wanted to ask."
"I went to a drone graveyard for fun. I dug up corpses for fun. A little dead thing isn't going to creep me out." She giggled.
"But what is it for?"
"Yeah I figured as much."
Spectre turned to the drone on the table.
"I'm working on a few drone bodies, but they're not like the ones from Titanium. So it's study and learn."
"Neat. Where are they from if you don't mind me asking?"
"Uh..." She looked up. "A version of Copper-9. I'm ashamed to say I haven't explored it much."
"Ah, that's fair."
"And thank you for letting me talk to you about how i should proceed with harlow."
"You're welcome, T."
"Well then, looks like I have someone to talk to now, I love you." She smiled and disappeared.
