just realized that I never posted this to Tumblr
I kinda did a thing with it
just realized that I never posted this to Tumblr
I also sang it live at a convention last summer
just realized that I never posted this to Tumblr
"Pick on someone your own size." / "It's cowardly to gang up on someone defenseless." / "That's no reason to pick on you." / "Winners don't harass."
So much anti-bullying rhethoric just rely on "ackschually that is morally wrong" which I don't exactly think bullies care about. It's not exactly a debate on right and wrong.
It's almost like people can choose to do bad things and don't need to state a reason.

"Don't worry! Sure, it was embarrasing when it happened, but no one is gonna remember it tomorrow."
My mom is 56. She still talks about an anecdote from her middle school when a classmate conjugated a verb wrong and made the whole class laugh.
most fiction: "Only you can save the world." "Me? But I'm scared, I don't think I can… or can I? Okay I'll do it."
Project Hail Mary: "Only you can save the world." "Me? But I'm scared, I don't think I can…" "You will, if I so have to drag you kicking and screaming."
I did a cosplay + dramatic reading of the greatest fanfic of all time at NärCon (Linköping, Sweden) last year, and will do it again this year
Preferred pronouns: they/them
Not singular they. Plural they. In the same way as we/us.
We are a single person but refer to ourself with royal plural, much like royalty and popes. And we are not amused by those disrespecting our majestic pronouns.
Why do some parents have complete disregard for their child's interests?
As a kid, my parents constantly complained that I "disappeared" into my room. But the door was always open. Why didn't they just come in and ask "what are you doing" or "can you show me"? I'd love to tell them about the world of Flash games, my fanfics, and my Donald Duck pocketbooks.
Instead they simply demonized my hobbies as something that needed to be replaced with "family activities" that 1) I visibly had no interest in and 2) they clearly made up arbitrarily as an excuse to make me spend time with them. They also made extremely pedantic dinner table rules that was supposed to make me remain there for no point at all, they didn't even bother to strike up conversation.
I was available to spend time with them anytime. They simply refused to engage and see my way of spending time as valid.

Your child being LGBTQ+ is not a phase.
But even assuming it is… what’s the deal?
Would you protest that much if they wanted to play a new instrument? Try a new sport? Remake their friend circle? Get a new SO? If not, then why make so much noise when their aesthetic, expression, or romantic preference change?
Having phases is a natural part of life, especially when growing up. If your child wanna try being gay, crossdress, or otherwise be nonconforming for a while… just let them. They’re just exploring life and what they want to do with it. Regardless of how it ends, they’ll come out wiser and more experienced having tried an aspect of the world.
I can never connect with privacy activism.
On the contrary, I find it appealing that people are interested in my life and habits and willing to monitor my boring and lonely life.
Am I sarcastic? Genuinely no idea.
I know everyone with mental health problems have different struggles that often can’t be compared or generalised.
But despite knowing this, whenever I see depressed people in films and media, I always get annoyed seeing how they still have money and food and nice houses and a that. Despite all my experience I still become an ignorant idiot questioning how they can be depressed if they have all that.
I turn into a kind of mental health elitist. “Check your depression privilege. Get on my level, scrub.”
So, I’m gonna start using a Tumblr on this account I created a while back. No one is probably gonna read this from my featureless account, so I guess this is more of a diary entry. And that’s fine by me; talking to a wall can be healthy too.
All I know about this site is what I have learned from the subreddit r/tumblr, which I really really like. I do realise that that place is a “best of” compilation and I’m not in for all that automatically, like... just how I won’t be showered with beer and efficient people directly after crossing the border to Germany. But hey, you gotta start somewhere.
I’m not sure what I’ll be posting here either, but probably my thoughts about all kinds of things, the ideas I get when feeling intellectual. Facebook was long my go-to for that, but not that it ever resulted in good conversations. Here’s to hoping this place has better people.
Rumour has it that Tumblr is mostly used by women and is thus very non-hostile, which could be a relief.
Personally, I’m a straight white cismale although transcurious. I’m a first-world millennial and just as depressed, anxious, poor and unmotivated as the next guy. I’m writing this from inside a hospital; family was afraid that I’d kill myself and called the cops, who then took me to this psych ward.
But enough about me. Hello Tumblr.
