“All’s well that ends well.” - The Chariot. That is what I opened with when I addressed my family at Flood City Fest in Johnstown, Pennsylvania this past Saturday, May 18th just before my last song during my final set in Gaffer Project. In my address I mentioned the importance of community and specifically challenging those present with the responsibility of continuing it throughout the year. In closing I mentioned that the song is about Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane and that each time I’ve had the privilege of performing it, I close my eyes and imagine what it must have felt and sounded like to hear Jesus weep. I asked those present to do the same. That song is called The Garden and it will forever be with me. The past three years of touring full time in this band has brought me more experience, more joy and relationships than any other period of time in my life. It has brought me closer to my Lord Jesus Christ to which I will eternally be grateful for. In my early days in Gaffer Project I met my wife Cassie Holliday and at one of those shows she took this picture. Meeting her has been an everlasting blessing! Out of obedience I will be pursuing counseling ministry in hopes of one day being an instrument in bringing that to the community I love so much. Gaffer Project will always have a place in my heart and I will continue to support them. This is a change in season for me and the end of my chapter in the book of Gaffer Project. That book is still being written as our dear friend Cameron Smith will be taking the reins! He will be filing in on drums and I am excited to see what the future has for the band as he and Jordan continue forward with the next chapter of GP! So, be sure to support them as they share the light this summer! If you have any questions please contact me directly as I would love to share more with you and reminisce on the time we shared together!
