Adventures in Creating

Check out this story I've been working on.

My first logo. I grew up on Lost River Road, in a small town in southern Alabama. Basically any farther south, and it'd be Florida.

At first, my studio will focus on generating digital art using Photoshop and Wacom as my tools of trade. I'm going to start by building up a portfolio of monster designs for my RPG Maker MZ project. I want to explore selling my monster designs via the Steam DLC page.

I'd also like to explore working on commissions, once I have a presentable online portfolio.

I have a novel, on its 6th draft that I want to get published. At the very least I want to put it up on Amazon KDP.

I'm also working on a graphic novel based on the novel.

These projects are my primary focus going forward.

Outbreak Company S1 E8

This is the first 12 min of my game, Titan City Tales. It can be found on PlayStation by downloading the free RPG Maker Player, and searching for Game ID 185, creator biggislims (me), or the game title.

The game is about a young man, Bastion, who recently returned to Titan City from abroad. By having the player pick 1 of 3 Traits, and 1 of 3 Aspirations, I can make each playthrough have certain unique aspects; promoting replay.

Titan City Tales has a day/night cycle, and a simple Sims-like Needs system that monitors Hunger, Bladder, Hygiene, and Sleep. If you don't eat, you starve which = death. If you don't relieve your bladder, you'll piss yourself. If you don't clean up, you stink. And if you neglect to sleep, you'll pass out and who knows where you might wake up.

Test of Time is about the Elven God, Siddhartha, who fled from the world 4000 years ago, and planted a seed from Yggdrasil, the Tree of Life, along a river bed. Siddhartha then sat in meditation while the tree grew. Eventually, the Elven God turned to stone, sitting before the tree.

When the game begins, the elves are down to 4 Heroes, and 100 women, men and children, after a catastrophic war with the Lich, Zorgzur the Unhollow.

The 4 Heroes are a noble Builder, followed by a proud Warrior, a skilled Hunter, and a resourceful Forager. The heroes, along with the civilians, have come to Yiggy, the holy tree to pray, and beseech Siddhartha for Divine aid. For the Warrior was mortally wounded on their journey, and is close to death.

Their prayers will be answered, when the stone fades, and Siddhartha stands before his people, for the first time in their history.

This is a new version of a game I was making on RPG Maker MV. The player explores the world with his heroes, and guides them through reclaiming their former glory by completing technology advancements and building a new Elven civilization that will stand the test of time.

There will be simulation aspects, where the player must manage the growing kingdom, keeping track of food, production, religion and culture.

While exploring key locations, the player will unlock building opportunities allowing them to further develop the kingdom, as well as unlocking new quests.
