You gotta be really publicly passionate about things if you want your friends to text you. Bc people will forget to text you because they’re human. But if you’re really openly the friend who loves identifying ants your friends will think of you when they see ants. And they’ll text you “what ant is this [blurry photo]”. And then they’ll ask you how you’ve been and we should get coffee sometime. But if they don’t know what you love they’ll never know what you like

And then when the ant convention is in town they’ll be like dude… we should go to the ant convention. But they would never think to go if they didn’t know u loved ants

And sometimes you need to ask them to go to the ant convention. But you Will not get anywhere hiding your passions

i just got the "see where your blood has gone!" email from giving blood but it glitched and just showed me my current location. which. theyre not wrong. that is where most of my blood is

but ykw at least i'm not on mount everest. at least i'm not paying tens of thousands of dollars to slowly suffocate in a 300-person line at the gates of hell. never in my life will i have to be steered in a hypoxic stupor through the maze of poop and corpses atop mount everest. on this earth a lot of horrible things can happen to you without your permission but there are a few that you have to opt into. you can just say no thanks! and be guaranteed never to have to be on mount everest. much to be grateful for actually

one thing I think is really good about chainsaw man is that denji sucks and is trashy and annoying but still lovable and power as a girl gets to be exactly even if not even more sucky and trashy and annoying but still lovable as him. she does not smell like flowers because she’s a girl she takes a shower maybe monthly and does not flush the toilet. throws vegetables at aki’s wall because she does not like them. I’m pretty sure while she was wandering in the forest she was eating rats. kicks down aki’s door upon living with him. girl character who is not ditzy but gets to be as stupid as her male friend and they don’t have to be in love with each other. there are so little female characters who are not misogynistic stereotypes that get to be strange and annoying the way male characters are and power gets to have as much lint in her head as denji. perfect character power chainsaw man i love you with my whole heart

Similiar thing with Asa. Just an utterly awful and misanthropic person. Self-isolating far past the point of it being a detriment to her. One of her first scenes is literally hating on other people just for being happy. She looks down on Denji for being a crass idiot even as she falls for him. Generally a pitiful loser; a girl who sorta sucks. Even so, the story still shows sympathy to her and does its best to get the audience on her side. She's just a teenager after all, but one who's been pushed up against an extremely hostile world. Such a wonderfully flawed character.
