but i am also perplexed by the birth years of 𝕙elaena (115 AC), 𝕕aeron (116AC), and 𝕒emond (either 115AC or 116AC), at least according to the fanmade wiki but that seems to be fairly accurate with show l𝕒ena's death being in 126 AC....... so you're telling me 𝕒emond is at most a year and three months older than d𝕒eron???? ( & j𝕒ce and b𝕒ela???? )

no wonder 𝕒licent sent 𝕕aeron away if she already had 2 kids under 2 when he was born

LUCERYS VELARYON. / mixed influences. even though he is the most doomed by the narrative character ever, i simply am too weak to not give him a survival AU, though he won’t resurface for several years/until the war is already heavily under way. if anyone wants to develop that survival verse w me PLEASE just say the word.

MYSARIA. / LISTEN i know nobody likes her but i'll mostly be writing her with luna so i shan’t force her upon anyone else unless requested. that being said, she’s probably the easiest of any of my muses to write crossovers into other fantasy verses so will likely be used for that. show-based but heavily headcanon supplemented, i won’t be touching on any of the more disturbing parts of her background in writing and i might just. replace it w something else.

CLEMMENT FLOWERS. / semi-original character based around show events. i am also aware that ppl hate the fake daeron plot and you are so valid for that but. hear me out. ive made him cool (and im at least attempting to make it make sense). that is all. ( in all seriousness thinking abt the tiniest details of the life of an inconsequential character has been SO much fun. i am fairly certain i can find other schemes for him to get involved in if the fake daeron thing is too much of an ick for you. )

ever since his return to oldtown at ten-and-four, morgan towers a head over his friend from childhood, although even when they were boys that never stopped gwayne from challenging him. whether venturous or reckless, wherever gwayne would go, morgan would usually follow.

“ hightower, ” he greets him by letting go of the reins of his destrier to take a step closer, let his height speak for him. he puts his gauntleted hand to his chin as if pensive. “ if i accurately recall, the last time i saw you, you did not qualify for placement, whereas i finished second. in the lists, of course. ”

gwayne has not forgotten the embarrassment of the last tournament, and he has been training all the harder for it. despite this long-standing game of theirs, it is no shame to be bested by a knight so skilled as ser morgan redwyne.

❛ and yet, ❜ his brow knits in feigned confusion, he looks upward to meet his friend’s eyes. it has been the better part of a decade since gwayne had the advantage of physicality on his side, but he cannot say he begrudges the effect it now has on him. ❛ the time before that, i unseated you in a single charge. ❜

𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍 over tumbleton, but the keep does not quiet; there is much to be done to ready for the coming battle. over and over the events of the afternoon repeat themselves in the knight’s mind’s eye, as if the outcome might somehow change if he fails to review each detail with adequate scrutiny. if gwayne been delayed only a few hours on the road back to tumbleton, he would have returned to find his nephew and his cousin slain, like as not. ormund has named the boy king, and sealed his fate. it seems now the only way to keep him safe is to put him on the throne, whether he wills it or not.

in the hours since, gwayne has been down to the forges and obtained a proper sword for daeron, a blade of true fighting weight, sharpened to kill; it now stands in its sheath against the wall behind him. guards will be posted outside the prince’s chambers as he sleeps, gwayne will see it done, but who can be trusted, save for himself and lord roxton, who will no doubt have been posted elsewhere? the prince must be able to protect himself if it comes to it and the dagger he carries at his hip simply will not do. but the talk of bloodshed can wait, for now, as much as it gnaws at gwayne to put it aside; @zaldrurys has brought them supper to share.

the gesture alone brings about gentle smile as gwayne clears a place on the small wooden table to set the tray of food and ale. how did you grow to be so kind, in spite of it all?

❛ i spoke harshly with you earlier, and for that i am sorry, ❜ he says, lifting his downcast gaze to meet daeron’s. it is a rare thing for gwayne and his nephew to misunderstand each other as they had upon his return. gwayne is changed by what he has seen, what he has done, and the full scope of that transformation is not yet known to him. there is one certainty, though, regardless of what has become of his honor: ❛ i will never leave you behind, daeron, i swear it. ❜
