Don’t know if you guys remember me posting about this, but here’s an update: 

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to raise enough money for the girls to participate in the winter league so with the money raised I will be buying the girls sports gear for when they play in the spring. I’d like to thank you guys for helping out it was much appreciated.

It came out to be like 280 after gofundme takes out their cut so i plan on getting the girls shorts. I want them to last so i’m getting them nike shorts which are about $20 each, maybe less if I look around. I need to buy at least 8 for the new girls. they love practicing in sweats. sigh. If not then I’ll probably get sports bra. To this day i will always remember my first coach having to tell me to buy a sports bra cause my boobs kept bouncing all over the place. it was highly embarrassing. I know these girl’s body are still developing and how hyper aware and self conscious they are at this age so i wanna spare them any discomfort.

We’re nearly halfway done, but still have $170 to go. The deadline to turn the money in is Oct 14, but I want to have the money at least a few days before so that gofundme can actually process the money into my account before the 14th.

If you’ve donated know that I will be personally sending you guys a email expressing my gratitude for the help, I havent done so yet because of my hectic schedule and the stress I have from trying to get everything done by the 14th. (on top of this tryouts are tomorrow and the vice principal at my school is giving me a hassle about posting flyers smh). 

I’m still short $250 for the Oct 14th deadline, so i’m asking anyone who has any money to spare and who’s willing to please donate. We (the girls and I) would be eternally grateful. 

We’ve been fortunate to receive donations of $20+ but trust me even small donations of $5 or $10 would help. 

Hey guys, if you wanna know why I’m not as active as I once used to be, this is it. These kids have taken over my life and my heart.

I’m trying to raise money for the girls team at my site since my program doesn’t have the money to fund it.  As you can see we mostly have boys but the girls we do have love the sport with a passion and will play with the boys even though they are more aggressive just so they get to play someone. 

I was hoping to split the cost with another site who also has a few players but since our schools aren’t in the same building they wont let us =‘[

The school I work at doesn’t really do any sports with the girls and honestly if it wasn’t for me pushing my director and putting in my time and work, there wouldn’t be a team for these girls to be in. These girls love playing and I would really love to be able to afford to do this for them, but I barely make enough money to support myself. 

Everyday the girls ask me about tryouts. they are so excited.
