Hey peoples! I started Noom on Sunday October 4th because I really needed to do something different this time and although it's slow progress, it is progress. It started out pretty rough, I was not meeting my calorie or movement goals, but now I've met both for 3 days straight, which is a big achievement for me. I took today off as a personal day so that I can meal prep for the rest of the week. I feel like with the support of the app I may be able to finally lose the weight this time. I started Noom at 212lbs, went up to 215lbs in the middle, because I wasn't actually following the app's advice (life is rough sometimes) but got my shit together and am now down to 208. Happy to be under 210, first goal is to get under 200 which I am hoping to do by the end of November! Wish me luck!

I was doing so well...my last post was pre-Covid-19. I was going to the gym every day, doing yoga, jogging on the treadmill to increase my endurance, eating healthy.... And then Covid hit. Now by all accounts I am one of the luckiest people out there. I am healthy and my job allows me to work from home. I have no complaints on that front, I am deeply blessed! But we all know new routines are hard to keep up and when turbulence like that hits we often fall....well I fell hard. My dance studio closed, my gym closed, and where I was going to the grocery store a few times a week to pick up small batches of healthy veggies, we were being told to go once every 2 weeks and frozen veggies were hard to come by. Due to the nature of my work we were extremely busy, I stopped taking lunch breaks so I did not go outside at all. In the end, I gained a lot of weight. Last week I clocked in at 205lbs. I promised myself I would never go over 200 again. I did it once about 3 years ago and that was more then enough. Yet here I am. All of the above was tough, but what really happened was I gave up. I gave in to the pressure of the times and let my progress suffer. It's always hard for me in the moment to realize I am only hurting myself. Today I am committing to trying again. The last week I have been going outside to walk, started using myfitnesspal again to track my food, and even started week 1 of zen's 10k trainer app. I just need to keep moving forward. I am lucky to be healthy and I need to treat my body right and not take it for granted. This is me starting over.

Been a long time since I've posted, but actually still working hard towards my goals. On Feb 10th I weighed 199.6lbs. Today on March 1st I weighed 192.6. I've been going to the gym 5-6 days a week working on building endurance to run a 5k and doing yoga 3 days a week. I took a few months break from dancing, but I am starting back up this week and am really excited. Working on Rhythm specifically and depending on how it goes may compete again in 2021. Going to post pictures for every 10lbs I lose so hopefully in 2-3 weeks I'll have a new pic up. Wish me luck!
Been sick so not doing any crazy exercise, but I have been keeping up with my morning and night yoga. 8k steps today deep cleaning the house. Still a lot to do, but feeling like I accomplished things today. I did order Chinese food for dinner, but I stayed within my daily calorie goal.

Ok, for real this time. I am tired of being tired. Tired of not feeling well, and I know I just need to take charge of my life and make steps to make myself into my best self. Today I didn't make lunch so I'll be eating in the cafe, but I did bring my workout clothes so straight to the gym after I get out of work at 5:30pm. Wish me luck.
Ps: Please ignore my messy room. I am working on donating some old clothes so they're currently a mess on my floor.

Newest dress in progress. Liking it so far!
Crystaling dresses like it's your job. Not bad for my first attempts!
I've been using tumblr for fitness inspiration and I finally decided I need to publically be accountable for my progress. In 2017 I weighed 212lbs at my highest. At one point I got down to 160lbs. Unfortunately with the cold I've been sliding backwards. Today I weighed in at a disappointing 176lbs.
I've been competitive ballroom dancing for the past year. I love it so much but I'm not strong or flexible enough to be as good as I want to be. I'm not looking for a specific number on the scale, I'm just looking to be a better version of myself. I hope to post a new picture every week to keep myself accountable and help me reach my goals.
