Hmmm… why did Nick wear plainclothes while Judy wear uniform?

Could it be that the Chief assigned them to different divisions? Nick into detective/undercover, while Judy into uniformed?

And why?

Maybe to prevent accusations of favoritism if Judy ends up being Nick’s superior. So they got assigned to different chains of command.

Fraternization is allowed among officers of the ZPD, as long as it won’t affect (1) performance, and (2) performance reviews. The latter is important for salary raise and promotions, y’know…

Yesterday Director Byron Howard held a Facebook live stream where he gave a tutorial on drawing the characters of Zootopia, and at about the thirty minute mark, began answering questions. It’s honestly really cool!
