Iqbal Park (formerly Minto Park) is where Lahore Resolution (also famously known as Pakistan Resolution) was passed in March 1940. Pakistan emerged as an independent country seven years later, in 1947.

The Tomb of Allama Muhammad Iqbal is located in the Hazuri Bagh just outside the Badshahi Mosque. Sir Iqbal (1877-1938) is not only known for his exceptional poetic works in Persian and Urdu, but also for his struggle for the rights and independence for Muslims in British India.

Quaid-e-Azam Library is located in Bagh-e-Jinnah (formerly known as Lawrence Gardens). It has a collection of more than 100,000 volumes, both in English and Oriental languages (Urdu, Arabic & Persian).

Minar-e-Pakistan is a tall minaret in Iqbal Park Lahore, built in commemoration of the Pakistan Resolution. The minaret reflects a blend of Mughal and modern architecture, and is constructed on the site where on March 23, 1940, seven years before the formation of Pakistan, the All India Muslim League passed the Pakistan Resolution (originally called Lahore Resolution), demanding the creation of Pakistan.

The Samadhi of Ranjit Singh is the mausoleum of the Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It was constructed by his sons Kharak Singh and Duleep Singh.
