Fuck Yeah, Cozypunk!

Current kitchen is pretty small, with very little counter space. Though it does have a mini-dishwasher, which I love. I have just enough dishes that I can run it once a week, though I hand wash my pots and pans basically every time. I caved and bought a microwave within a couple months, though the thing takes up a lot of counter space for something that gets used maybe twice a week.* I bought up things like spatulas and drinking glasses and mugs a few things at a time. We inherited some things from my father-in-law, who’d moved in with a lady.

*Though it’s not like I’m using the stand mixer much. Sometimes I think the big Kitchen-Aid mixers are more of a status symbol that you have so people know you’re serious about food. My mixer is at least as old as I am and has passed through two sets of owners before me. It’s a weird off-white and has a chip in the enamel, but I kind of like that. It’s cozy. If I’d picked my own, I might have gone for blue or purple, but I’ll usually pick something with a history over a new thing. A lot of the things you have in your home are about the story you’re telling yourself just as much as your own personal enjoyment.
