BLUSH FINISH OFF DEBUT PROMOTIONS ON A BRIGHT NOTE.

With the summer season in full swing the kpop world was in need of a new and upbeat summer smash to ligten up days and be a instant night hit. That came in the form of 2K Records duo ‘BLUSH’ With both girls being all ready pretty well known with large fanbases it was a huge success gaining a high chart raking within the first 24 hours of digital release of the mini ep ‘ WHERE DO YOU LIVE ’ 

The duo consisting of soloists Gu Aruem and Kimiko Wang-Mori , who have been friends thanks to the company as well as clashing schedules , when the rumors of the two joining forces were released fans were estatic at the chance to see the two girls working together and they weren’t dissapointed. The music videos showcased the girls amazing charms and proved to many that the ballads and upbeat dance vocalists could find a sound that worked.

While there was no win for this era the girls seemed happy none the less all thanks to the positive feeback they had from fans and those close to them. When spoken to in a short interview Kimiko said the following “ This was a n amazing chance for us and a bit of a risky thing to do but we wouldn’t have had it any other way, we get to work with each other and do what we love .”

Doublekill has finally relased the mini album for the upcoming duo BLUSH. They duo consists of soloists Gu Areum and Wang-Mori Kimiko. The two have been successful in their solo ventures that 2K has decided to team the two together and with them being close friends it seems as if there was no issues with forming the duo.The album mainly consits of upbeat summer beats minus the second title track hich hopeully will allow for not only the main two songs to do well. Keeping with the group’s name the tracks all revolve around being young and free while keeping true to who the girls are.

After weeks of anticipation, DoubleKill has finally released the debut music videos for up and coming duo BLUSH. With two title tracks the girls show off just how versatile they can be. 

WHERE DO YOU LIVE is an upbeat song that shows off the girl’s more mature and sexy image. The song tells the story of an experience with a guy who just won’t take no for an answer. With both the girls being listed as writing the song it is easy to believe that it was based on experiences they have had in the past. With bright colours and somewhat revealing outfits, the duo sticks to their girl crush concept while also giving off a girl power vibe.

ANOTHER ME is a more slow and R&B inspired track that has a simple mv to capture the girl’s vocals and dancing abilities. With the two being seeing in suits dancing with chairs it gives off the seductive vibe which both females seem to constantly be giving off. Keeping with the mature vibe the song is about how one may feel towards someone they love and how as times goes on you slowly start to find yourself in that person.

DOUBLEKILL RELEASE DEBUT TEASER FOR UPCOMING DUO BLUSH

Every since the announcement of the female duo from the company, BLUSH finally reveals more information towards their activites. With a simple, captivating image the date of their debut has been announced for July 7. The duo is formed by Wang-Mori Kimiko, an idol soloist and Gu Areum, balladeer and member of the sub-unit HYDE. Netizens have already started reacting and the general feeling is of excitement and high expectations. Stay tuned for more news and information on BLUSH!

DOUBLE KILL GIRLS TEAM UP FOR SHOWCASE

The girls of 2k have teamed up for a very special showcase in which they covered a total of 3 songs by Girls Generation. The showcase was said to be for Creep’s Leader Yori’s solo debut which is released the 28th of April. 

Yori is said to care very deeply for those in 2K and so she wanted some of them to be part of her special day as much as she could. Insiders of 2K said that when the chance was given for the girls to be part of the performance they all couldn’t have been happier to help celebrate the day with Yori. Yori’s close childhood friend Seohyun who is part of the global girl group was rumored to be supporting her and looked more than impressed with the girls’ performance.

Performing Hoot, Mr Mr and Genie the girls paid tribute to the group along with similar outfits to those which they wore during the era’s. A quick costume change while backup dancers covered a small dance break allowed for the girls to switch from the Hoot Outfits to the Mr Mr inspired ones. 

As the final song finished the crowd went wild and all the girl’s couldn’t have looked happier in that moment as they had a heartwarming group hug. It was clear to see that they all gave it their 100% and it once again shows that the bond at Double Kill is a strong family type. Well done girls and a special good luck to Yori on her solo debut !
