Fallen Hope

A girlish laugh escaped as the gambler flew off the handle and her otherwise defined features warped with rage, it was quite ugly to look at. well..Komaru had insulted the other girl’s most precious cat. She supposed she couldn’t blame Celeste. “Well…there is a chance. Wouldn’t that be nice? To be reunited with what you care about the most. Some of your classmates won’t be so lucky or your classmates loved ones.” “Well…” she picked up the crumpled and discarded paper piece. “There is a location listed here. If the information is still up to date…you might be able to find… Grand Bois Cheri…whatever…” she got dreadfully bored attempting the cats full name. 

     deep breaths… this rage was not good. it had THREATENED that hope inside one too many times already. she needed to control it, not be seen as a threat. her cat was one of the very few beings she would lay her life down for, it was only NATURAL that it be a touchy subject. it is a few long moments where she simply stands with her eyes closed – finally a sigh escapes. though her face remains stern the anger has considerably diminished.

       “ i will hold onto that CHANCE. perhaps it is a foolish belief, but so much has happened that these little moments of hope must be held on to. “

        a pale hand reaches out to grab the paper from the other girl’s hand. scarlet hues go downcast as she reads the contents. she had already ACCEPTED that her cat might be dead but if there was even the smallest chance he was alive, she would fight for him. perhaps in the grand scheme of things it was unrealistic, but he was all she had in this world.

“Oh, this?” she played with a piece of paper she’d found laying on the ground, the depiction of a rather fat and pampered cat with a mess of text written crudely as if by a child between her fingers. “Were you perhaps looking for this?” “Grand Bois Chéri Ludenberg…wow, what a totally pompous name for a cat.” she crumpled the paper.  She tossed it aside without a care, narrowing her eyes at the gambler.  “It’s probably dead you know…the kids managed to kill a few people and…things…on their hit list before we took the city back.”

       this little SPARK is all she requires to ignite the flames of anger within her heart. immediately her calm and collected poise is SHATTERED as that mask of rage falls upon pristine features. it is an UNFORTUNATE change, one she reserves for dire circumstances – but when it comes to grand bois her temper is even shorter. her beloved companion had to be ALIVE. upon finding out some of the others were as well she has to hold onto this HOPE.

        “ don’t you EVER fucking insult grand bois cheri ludenberg! “

       spoken in that unrefined rage, she takes a step forward, eyes practically GLOWING in this anger.
