Ykwhat, damn the mangaka guy (GEGE or whatever). This very character was the most sensible soft & and wisest of all in the series. It's practically impossible for someone sensitive striving for ideals to suddenly turn to extreme rash means. I'm so disappointed by the character design. Like, he deeply cares for his loved ones and then suddenly massacres hundreds for a certain "goal". And he actually KNEW that there COULD BE constructive alternatives to achieve that same goal. It's just not possible. I've analysed a very 30-40 characters including complex ones but a sharp backflip of this level is not possible for anyone. If he turned to shadows for manipulative means, that'd be one thing. But a person of harmony resorting to murder being AWARE of a possible alternative? ARIENAI.

I don't need a lover. I need a good therapist and enough money to pay their fees.

I've feared many things from childhood; like nature, human beings, animals. When I'm petting a dog, I'm often reminded that the warmth of this animal is temporary. It would die before me. It could turn hostile any moment if triggered. Still I kept making out with it, aware of the dangers.
