Sacre Bleu

At any given point in the day the golden girls theme is blasting from my apartment. It's my background noise when I'm home. Eventually my neighbors are gonna call the cops to do a wellness check on me. Every thirty minutes "thank you for being a friend." I try to fast forward though it because I'm embarrassed. Lol.

I'm looking for a new job. Retail is truly hell on Earth and you have to have real mental fortitude in order to maintain. I don't see how people work in retail for years and years. It's mentally exhausting being in a position of service to so many different personalities and attitudes all day long. I used to be able to go with the flow. I used to be able to put on a happy face but I'm finding myself much more snappy and irritable with people who are unpleasant with me. Just can't be that way. Gotta suck it up. I'm always gonna run into jerks. Might as well do it in an industry that I enjoy. But I'm so grateful for this job. Its brought me some real friendships and I've grown so much as a person. But it's time to go. Lol.

What a difference a year can make. I have a job. Went from part time associate to assistant manager in four months. I have a reliable car of my own. Got Lasik and now I'm about to move into my first place. I'm in the planning process of starting my own businesses and I'm scared to death. But excited. I'm late but I'm here.
