1 - those who still enjoy the show and, while very happy if Mickey returns, will keep watching anyway

2 - those who sort of enjoy the show and will keep watching in hopes that he’ll be back or at least be mentioned 

3 - those who don’t enjoy the show anymore, but might again if the show improves and/or Mickey comes back (I’m here)

4 - those who think we’re still being queerbaited and aren’t going to watch it anymore regardless of what they do or say

Whatever your opinion, let’s try to respect each other, please.

This is what I can gather from weibo, if accurate. 1. This is regarding a national issue with severity on par with if not exceeding racism in the States. Supporting taiwain independence is actually illegal in China. Think dokdo island but much, much worse. 2. This is only aimed at stopping her career in China, since official chinese sources stated recently that they will not welcome any artists making income off of a economy that then goes into supporting opposite interests such as Taiwan independence. She wasn’t the only person affected. No one cares if she stays an idol outside of China. 3. This jyp boycott is independent of Twice. If jyp agreed to swap her out, it would have been totally fine. Her issue was dying down until it surfaced that JYP supposedly refuses to pick sides. This has directly lead to JYP being labelled as a political agency. 4. Whether she is innocent or not, she supposedly enjoys strong support from the major pro taiwain indepence newspaper. Her family runs her fansite in taiwain and has stated multiple times she is not chinese. Her appearance on a recent tv show with Jackson doesnt help as she repeatedly stated her identity as Taiwanese. She is being regarded as a potential poster child for independence. 5. There is built up resentment for foreign artists and companies seeing china as easy money without respecting chinese sentiments.
