Nadia hadn’t realised that she had said that aloud, so her question comes as a surprise. If she was being completely honest, she hadn’t expected Padme to be paying attention, yet she now felt as though she owed her an explanation, so she decided to give her one.
“A ruler’s decisions and actions are often under a great deal of scrutiny, and I am no exception,” she explained. “Any decisions I make regarding the future of Vesuvia will be examined in the future, no matter how big or small they may be.”
It was a thought that she still found to be daunting, despite having come to terms with it a while ago.
As silence loomed over the two women, it was now Padme’s turn to ponder. But instead of gazing into the distance, she looks across the countess’ face, and now she finally sees the vulnerability hidden ‘neath features that once, dare she admit, intimidated her. She understands Nadia’s troubles, but she can’t exactly say that she resonates with them and now she remains at a loss on what to do or say to lift her spirits up. The best thing she could do at this point and time was place a hand atop the back of hers. “Whatever decisions or actions you have to make, Nadia, please know that you are not alone. ”

BACKGROUND
Padme’s family descends from a long line of magicians and witches ( and as some would say, that her line descends from the first magicians ) that were skilled partitioners in all forms of magic including the Dark Arts. Like most members of her family and sourced out many esoteric shops. However, due to her troubling and difficult nature, Isabella was sent to her Aunt in Vesuvia to be looked after. During this time, she had become well acquainted with Asra who frequented the Serpent’s Shop. This acquaintance eventually led to friendship that blossomed into a romantic relationship. However, that relationship was tested when the Red Plague began to spread the city and chose to stay behind and help the remaining victims, and for a brief period of time became an apprentice under Dr. Julian Devorak, who she assisted in finding the cure for the plague. Eventually, this led to her demise but was revived by Asra, only for her memories to be erased.
PERSONALITY
Before the amnesia, Padme was described as very troubling and difficult. Which is why she was eventually sent to Vesuvia for her aunt to take care of her. However, that rebellious nature proved to change over time, after meeting Asra and the iron fist of her aunt. This also changed eventually to a more reserved and quiet nature, even after her revival. Due to her introverted and reserved nature, Padme is often seen as odd by those who know her, preferring to keep to herself and often avoidant of interaction. However, don’t be fooled by her introverted nature. With that quiet exterior, lies a heart of gold, and a determination to protect those she holds dear to her heart.

Not much was different, aside from the fact that this time around, she had absolutely no idea how to handle it- and it remains evident upon a bewildered expression. This was the Countess after all. And although they have become particularly comfortable with one another, there were still precautions, customary roles that needed to be played. She just hoped that she wasn’t overstepping her boundaries. “If I may, Nadia... Whatever you’ve done in the past, the mistakes you think you’ve made, Our past does not define us.”
for the time being, i’ll have to use a non aesthetic theme due to codes. no matter what theme i use this seems to be happening. if anyone knows they’re way around it, or a HTTPS URLs theme that I could use, please let me know!
