I may want to write as Rhaenyra, and possibly Aegon, but make some slight changes... I'll keep thinking on them, but here's some ideas. And everyone is around the same age, because that is such a headache to think about...

AU where Rhaenyra is betrothed to Aegon II, and peace is had because of that. The Dance of Dragons never happens. Maybe Aegon and Aemond were treated better by everyone, and there's actual respect and love between everyone.

AU where some BS like show!Daenerys where fire can't burn Rhaenyra, or any of the Targaryens, so including Aegon - and he remains whole. Can obv still have the angst where Aemond betrays him, because yes.

Have Rhaenyra know how to fight with a sword.

Maybe even having lessons with Aegon on the art of war / dragon riding.

AU where Rhaenyra is forced to marry Aegon during the Dance of Dragons to make peace between them. Perhaps something of the whole "Do this, or those you love perish." type vibes.
