Franco’s idea of safety being inextricably linked to Cruelty Makes me miserable. attention being a precursor to torture his entire life so he literally cannot bring himself to trust people. okay .I think what is most unfortunate is that he by definition does regress (albeit in a very funneled way) but he has no healthy adult baseline to go back to and never will so he’s just stuck as a permanently fractured and angry child .
