So this is Dek he’s a Vulcan that was kidnapped by the Dominion and injected with Vorta DNA in order to make like the perfect loyal but also intelligent and strategic advisor as well as someone with knowledge of the Federation. And to be certain that this guy would be loyal to them, on top of putting Vorta stuff in him, they also took him to Empok Nor and put that stuff into him as well (i forgot if it was like a gas or something that was injected ??) that would like create the same xenophobic drive that the Cardassians had which made them so inclined to join the Dominion

But then all this bioengineering and fucking with genes and brainwaves and getting stuck into tubes made this guy genuinely so weird like he is so offputting to everyone because they fucked with him so much no one likes him cus he’s literally weird as hell
