i purchased these faces from @walrus-furbs and they arrived yesterday!

first, i want to say that i’m THRILLED. the quality of the plastic is just as heavy if not a little heavier than a factory furby buddy face

the details in the face are crisp and clear, the eyechip wells are smooth and even enough to slap chips in there, and the glitter in the purple face is amazing

as you can see there’s some sanding dust in the backplate, and the texture is not as smooth on the back of the faceplate and the peg covers. so i’m gonna have to rinse these off in the sink

i want to emphasize here that i’m not unhappy at all with this quality. sanding takes a lot of time! artist time in each item adds to the cost of those items, and these faces are being offered at VERY reasonable rates, especially considering all the interlocking parts

also, i need the plastic to be a little bit rough for my glue to grab onto it (not true for all glues, is true for the grade of glue i use in podges), so that bit is actually a plus for me

and having the backplate and pegs is So Nice!! i actually didn’t realize that was included but i’m very pleased. it is so much easier to glue plastic to plastic than it is to glue plastic to fabric, fauxfur, or crochet

it’s a nice bit of attention to detail that really shows the seller considered the needs of oddbody makers when whipping these up! 

everything fits together snugly and i don’t anticipate any troubles assembling them. once that white face is painted, i doubt anybody who didn’t already know would guess that this face hadn’t come from an original furby buddy

also that purple glitter is LOVELY and i am so excited to get to use it

all in all, 10/10 ! seller was prompt & communicative, does good work, product arrived safe and sound and appropriately packaged

Please take the time to read this before jumping to conclusions. Also, Celia, I don’t want you interacting with this post, or me, a minor, whatsoever. Or I will start legal action. AKA I will take you to court. Read on to find out why. 

Furbae and I and made transactions with each other through friends and family. I got my furbys Oatmeal and Honey from her. She told me that making transactions via friends and family was cheaper for me and safe, on the premise of “we trusted each other.”  This is not the case, I later learned; purchasing things via friends and family is actually a largely used scammer tactic, because you have no buyer protection if you do use f&f. 

She also attempted to raise the price on me after a sunrise furby on ebay sold for much more than what she charged me. The price jumped from 200 dollars to 300, and I had already received the sunrise. 

I am 16 years old, legally still a child in the eyes of the state of California. Furbae sold me over 500~ dollars worth of furbys (2). Since I am a minor and she is an adult, it is illegal for her to charge me a large, or any sum, of money. I didn’t realize this; once again, I am a minor, I do not know much about paypal. I use an extension of my dads paypal to make purchases. She manipulated me into using friends and family, saying it saves me money. 

Even though multiple times I insisted we use business, she coerced me into using f&f. Right now I am in the process of getting my money she took from me, knowingly on illegal premises, back. 

I have messaged her asking for a refund, and telling her if she wishes to have further contact to talk to my father. 

So I feel this is important for me to reblog, to spread the word.
