Do These Words Have Meaning?

I am a Citizen of Bangladesh 🇧🇩 This is a plea for help.

On 29th of July 2018 school going students were killed by a reckless bus driver. The students protested with slogans on the same bus stand.

Since then All students of Bangladesh are protesting for safer roads and more strict regulations.

Their intention was never to harm even a single person. Neither it is now.

But today POLICE AND PEOPLE OF CHATRO LEAGUE tortured students with tear shell, they beat students brutally and raped the female students (on 4th August 2018). The students are trying to defend themselves with sticks and tree branches that they’ve found on the streets.

4 students have been murdered and other 4 female students have been raped, many more have been injured severely. And the Government is sitting there silent.

WE NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE.

My cousin from Bangladesh just sent me this. I am horrified and shocked at what’s going on right now - it’s inhumane and a blatant disregard for these children’s right for free speech.

The “Chhatro League” mentioned here is the student sector of the government party, Awami League, consisting of university students. These people are ruthless and will stop at nothing from preventing anyone who is concerned to speak against the issues/protest.

Chanting “We want justice”, students of Bangladesh have been calling for stricter enforcement of traffic laws, and have blocked major intersections in the capital for seven consecutive days after two students where killed in a road accident and several others were hospitalised. Some of the students are as young as 13

Today, Saturday 4th August, students protesting in Jigatola were attacked and massacred. 3 students were killed, one reportedly with their eyes gouged out, 4 female students were raped and several others held hostage with their location unknown, and over 50 students have been injured. The government has used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the student groups, causing very severe injuries to some of them. The students are believed to be attacked by the Chattra Dal, student party allied with ths ruling government. In some places its literally a bloodbath

They’ve started to censor media coverage and different sources are saying different things. Heck, I’m not even sure if I got everything. But one thing remains certain. Students are being attacked and the whole city’s in a state of panic.

We want justice.

Dear world. Let me tell you about our misery. School students of our country, Bangladesh arranged protests in the capital Dhaka because three school students were killed by a bus. The government refused to give any punishment, the killers were not even arrested. Two political parties have hired their goons to get political advantage in this situation. The party in power and the opposition party. Today, few students were killed. 4 girls were raped. Many are missing. Government has stopped mobile internet service. The local tv channels and newspapers aren’t showing anything. Dear world, what will we do? We are dying. Spread the word please. Reblog.
