For parenting books, I really recommend “The Whole-Brain Child” by Daniel Siegel—it’s a science-based but very friendly book about how children’s brains work, and how to support them emotionally from early on.

If you're also looking for engaging, screen-free activities, I’d suggest trying simple maze books. I recently came across (or created 😅) a maze puzzle book designed for ages 5 and up.
