Fun with no fund$

Around this time last year I was in New Orleans & I thought I’d share some photos I took while there . I’m trying to get more in the habit of posting . I do enjoy a private life but I’ve had a recent change of heart. I’ve had many beautiful life experiences and I want to start sharing that more. Although this post isn’t really a cost breakdown of the trip , Nola can be a great inexpensive trip for anyone looking to go there. Anyway, enjoy these beautiful pictures— if I do say so myself.

POV: You’re a Floridian.

If you’re ever in the Millington, Tennessee area I’d suggest you check out Jones Fruit Orchard. If you’re into nature, walking ,organic food , and a photo op this will be a treat for you. It's both affordable and an unforgettable experience. I had the most amazing time. You get to explore 110 acres of land to pick your own fruit. Upon arrival you will have to pay a fee to get a basket. They have price variations depending on the size bucket you choose. The most expensive option was $22 for a gallon, while the cheapest was $10 for a 1.5 quart tray. You get to keep both the basket and all the fruit you filled it with. I strolled while taking pictures and choosing the prettiest fruit to take back home. After the activity, I’d suggest swinging by the market there that sells smoothies, jams, jellies, butters, salsas, and relishes all from the fruit on the orchard. A few things I’d keep in mind before going is the weather, their harvest season, and operation hours. So I’d suggest checking their website or calling before your visit. The only downside to my experience was that it was extremely hot. Which is out of their control.  So don’t be afraid to stop by the market for a smoothie to cool off. For less than $30 , you can walk away with sweet memories & a ton of fresh produce. Let me know if you’d visit an orchard like this.

My Aunt has always told me “do what you have to do, so you can do what you want to do”. That has always stuck with me. Although some are able to make their passions into profit , not everyone is as blessed to do so. This usually results in getting a job ( even one you hate) and doing your passions on the side or losing sight of your passion all together. Don’t get stuck on the hamster wheel. There is more to life than working to burn out and die. I know it’s easier said than done but make time for your dreams too.  Feed your soul.Even if you can’t engage in something for your passion everyday,don’t lose sight of what makes you happy.  God forbid you die today, your job will replace you tomorrow. Don’t die using all your energy to fulfill someone else’s dreams.
