May we have a little flashback or idea on how was Taylor's first weeks with the attendants and how did they end up forming a decent bond?What made them different from the other human stuff other than the fact of being the only one who lasted longer on this job?
I know it sounds obvious but is there any moment that made them click and get more attched? I see that atleast Moon is comfortable enough to break personal space.

He embraces the luxury of not being held back by human societal convention (remember that one scene with Perry the platypus) so he's purring and rubbing his head on them lol
I think it’s funny cuz the longer I’ve been drawing and posting them, the more my ideas evolve and replace. Taylor was cuter back then... I think it’s because working at the Plex that long weathers you.
I've been holding this ask for a long while cuz I do want to make a comic about it, but I haven't had a chance to sit down and sort it out so here's the gist of it: 👇
I wouldn't say Taylor has been different from all the other human assistants, but they have a personality that the DCA enjoys being with by being someone that lets them do their job with little intervening. Everything else has been a plus such as bringing gifts and treating them equally, and this is the result of Taylor getting to learn about them over time.
Sun was the first to warm up as an extrovert. For him, what first clicked was Taylor talking about their injuries LOL. They cater food as a side hustle so they get accidental burns and such from it, who knew it could be such a great ice breaker 💭
With moon, playing games to pass the time and Taylor being very forgiving towards his antics has made it easier for him to come out of his shell. maybe that's why taylor looks like that now. they've been fucked around so many times they're numb
Timeline of the past hires and DCA brain bits under the cut:
** The present time in my AU is actually the 6th year, whoopsie! **
The DCA has felt positive if not indifferent to most of the daycare hires. The only one they didn't like was the 3rd hire, always half assing his job and sleeping around for no reason. to say he got caught having an affair is an understatement LOL
But they were fond of the 5th hire, I think I'll name them Devon. I imagined they were a stoner type (there are ways to pass the drug test) so their voice was slow and raspy. They weren't the best at their job, but compared to the 3rd they were way better and they always tried their best. Devon was a bit of a chatterbox, sometimes they'd say some out of pocket things but never anything too far or inappropriate. It was just enough oddball activities to keep the DCA on their toes. I should also add VS their other jobs they never worked high out of the respect for the attendant
I think what also helped The DCA to come out of their shell was that they were always so inquisitive. Normally it'd make the bots uncomfortable but Devon was never judgemental, always curious about how they felt or "life" in the Plex. Of course their curiosity was a double edged sword, either have seen something or almost caught something they shouldn't have. They would've "disappeared," but thanks to the attendant's watchful eye they framed Devon for a less serious work offense and had them fired. They always talked about their life outside the Plex and their loved ones, so as the DCA reasons: "It'd be a shame if they had to mourn over your air headed idiocy."
I think I might make a comic out of that one, I feel like that was the first time the attendant has felt what it was like to have a serious friend, something outside of work pleasantries. I think it paved the way with how they interact with Taylor, being more willing to test boundaries and make "non-consequential" mistakes in forming friendships like when you build relationships IRL. Taylor in ways is similar to Devon in empathy towards the attendant, but Taylor's much more down to earth and favors different things to talk about.
