I swear more parents need to let their kids learn to sit with discomfort instead of immediately trying to make them comfortable again, kids who don’t sit with discomfort are going to become teens who struggle with getting bad grades, adults who can’t take failure, or the other end teens and adults who get upset when things don’t go their way it’s so important that parents let their kids sit with discomfort

a teen who was doing camp lied to the campers and told them 6-7 is offensive to his culture (he comes from an immigrant family) he said he was Bosnian (that was the closest he could get to say saying 6-7 was offensive) he’s from the Middle East mind you

these camp kids are so exhausting I’m so tired just bring me outback and kill me (if this one kid doesn’t behave tomorrow and listens during animal friend time, and stops hitting my week will be so much worse)

right now I’m helping with a summer camp every time I work camp it becomes more and more apparent how lazy abusive parents are, because honestly having to hit your kids to get them to behave is lazy, if I can get kids I met that very day to listen honestly I think you have a skill issue it’s really easy to get to behave if you’re nice to them and don’t scream at them, again abusive parents have a skill issue
