Work in Progress

Feeling incredibly knocked down. I cannot tell you how many jobs I have applied for in the past year and a half. SO many. I’ve reached out to the like 2 people I know in the industry - nada. I’ve changed my resume and cover letter style like 6 times. I’ve worked with a career coach to help guide me and figure out the best methods. I’ve exhausted almost every avenue for what I want to do in life and it doesn’t matter. I’m literally in the exact same place that I was 2 years ago when I started this movement.

Wow that’s FUCKING depressing. I feel so defeated and can’t see any silver lining or light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. I’m either not qualified enough (I definitely am, but people want to see experience in a specific title, which is stupid guys) or I can’t even get in the door because I don’t know anyone anywhere and I’m just getting lost amongst the billions of resumes.

I’m sad, disappointed, angry, frustrated, etc. I also sliced the shit out of my thumb today on a knife my company makes -_____- and it still hurts like a bitch. This has been a horrible week. I feel knocked down and beaten up and also a little betrayed.
