my rogue is basically a mix of evolution, movies & 616, though leaning heavily on the evolution portrayal. 

so, yadda yadda yadda, rogue has the power to absorb powers and memories and doesn’t like touching people because of it

she always worries that she should wear big bulky clothing, but because she was a teenager in the 90s she adopted black mesh clothing as her style pre-powers, and has found that she’s actually more anxious with the bulky clothes

has severe anxiety issues because, starting off important relationships in her life with trying to kill everyone close to her can kinda do that to a person, even if they say they’re okay with it

she used to really self-isolate, and while compared to others she still kinda does, she’s much more social that she had been when she first got to the x-mansion

that being said, she has a days where she doesn’t, being said reason she isolates herself

she’s spent about half of her life not being able to directly touch people

that being said, she can up the southern charm to extreme levels

because she’s been lied to for the formative years of her life, she will not hesitate to touch you if you lie to her

her “danvers” personality is mostly gone, she has bad days when she gets overwhelmed, where momentary powers come emerge

even though she isn’t really fond of her powers, the two times she has gone powerless has scared her shitless and although she often hates not being able to have physical contact with anyone, she has been able to accept her powers

she believes that everyone deserves a second chance and that everyone has the capability of making the world better

once rogue is becoming unhappy with her actions with the brotherhood, she tries to run away, though she is not able to

at this point she’s fought the x-men a bunch of times

the third time she runs away she runs into logan, and she convinces him that she’s running away and that she’s kinda scared and he brings her to the x-men

she feels very connected to him, and often thinks of him as her saviour, and he becomes a weird angry dad that she is happy to have in her life

bio.

It’s hard growing up in the projects of white suburban towns as the Latina with the single mom.

Well, it wasn’t always like that. Before she was seven, before her dad ran out, she was happy. She didn’t live in the suburbs quite yet, very much a city kid, looking forward to the day when she could get her own bus pass and roam the city all by herself. That day never came though, because she was pulled from that life all too soon.

Her childhood ended abruptly. It became all too apparent how different she was, she was now one of the only brown kid in her school, and one of the handful of people of color. It wasn’t something that she had noticed before, but now she was suddenly aware of just how different she was.

She was one of the only kids who weren’t rich. She was one of the only kids who was brown.

But, the thing she did have going for her was that she was smart. She was easily one of the smartest kids in school, despite not having fancy tutors or extracurriculars. And that was enough to ride on for years. It made her popular, and made her eligible for scholarships to do the same things her fancy schoolmates got to do.

It changed when he entered the picture.

When she was thirteen, in the eighth grade, her mother started dating this white man. He was nice enough: he cooked for them, helped cleaning, and would always buy little knick-knacks or sweets for Andrea. Her mom loved him, and so did she.  

It all changed when Andrea interacted with him for the first time without her mom. His demeanor immediately changed, No longer was he cheery and sweet, he was cold and coarse and demanded that she work to improve her grades.

Bewildered, she stood frozen in place, her mind trying to process what had happened.

“What?” She asked meekly, the only thing that she could think to say.

With little warning, he punched her. She fell to the ground, her jaw throbbing in pain. Instinct took over as she hurriedly scuttled away from him, squealing when he caught the back of her shirt, lifting her up, her feet dangling in the air as she began to thrash, attempting to rid herself from his grasp.

With little thinking, she grabbed a flowerpot from the top of the bookshelf in her room, letting it fall onto his head. His temporary disinterestedness allowed him to let go of her, and she ran from her room, grabbing the baseball bat next to the entrance.

He howled out, following her into the room, and braced herself, whacking him with the bat on the back of the head. At that very moment, the door opened, and he tumbled out of the small apartment, falling down a flight of steps.

His body lied there uselessly.

The next weeks were a blur, explaining what had happened to her mother, and dealing with the police: both Andrea and mother accounted that it had been a freak accident.

Nevertheless, they had to move; even if the police had officially declared it an accident, whispers that it had been murder still traveled throughout the town.

Life was different after that, her mother and herself remained close, though it would always be a source of unending grief between the two. Still the top of her class, Andrea now became a recluse, always a little scared of herself, scared to get close. The constant moving that she and her mother now did, helped her hide. No matter what they did, the secret seemed to haunt them, even if it had never been found out.

By the middle of her sophomore year she had been in four different high schools, always maintaining her grades. Her saving grace was her smarts.

Andrea is a very reclusive person. She doesn’t make friends easily, and doesn’t really care to. She’s rather anxious, and is focused on her studies, taking pride in her intelligence and resourcefulness. She’s been around rich people to understand how they are, though it never ceases to annoy her, sometimes angering her. Because of this, she remains impulsive, and can come across as snippy.
