Gray never committed into serious things in his life, never did he think of creating a family in the first place , he always focused on his success , on his life and what he would do in the future.
And if he had to be honest , it took him a long time for him to focus on himself , he went through trauma , and loss but destiny âwhich he didnât believe in it all the time- became more gentle with him as he grow up , he met good friends that made him feel a little bit better , although their energy doesnât not match his all the time but he was never this grateful to anyone .
And then comes another person in his life , at the start , it was a nuisances nothing but annoyance or attention seeking and he never understood why It entered itâs life.
He realized that this girl is more than he thought she was , suddenly things happened in his life , he thought of so many times to end it and never come back because he is tired but juvia lockser didnât let him , she was there every single moment if his life , never leaving his side , not once did she complain of him or of his problems ⌠she was just there .
When he asked her why she was doing all this , she simply said that she wanted to , she never felt obligated or forced to be with him , she actually was determined to stick by his side like a glue . Â
That's how much she loved him; and he finally became aware of his feelings towards her.
Gray always thought of undeserving of happy things in his life , he didnât deserve anyone but god does he want to love her as much as he could.
Gray loved juvia , he actually did , and she doesnât deserve him she deserves someone better, someone who can treat her like she needs to be treated . Â
However , she was stubborn and he also did not like anyone to be with her as selfish as he is , he thought if he doesnât deserve her unconditional love no one did and itâs ridiculous but he is a man in love . Â
After so many discussions with his friends and experiences and so much waiting , he decided to finally confess to her , give her an answer, except that at that time , juvia went through an accident . A car raced through the roads like a flash , a drunk driver they said was handling the wheel , and juvia was the unfortunate victim . Â
Afte he heard the news heâs mind went blank , he became sweating and suddenly he doesnât know how to breath anymore , he was going through a panic attack .. again , and juvia wasnât there for him. Â
Erza caught him before he hit the floor . Â
He was shaking like a leaf , his most tragic memories came back into his mind , his motherâs death ; him getting seperated from his father at a young age , almost losing his adoptive mother and her daughter , and now juvia. Â
Is he going to lose her now ? So many thoughts were occuring on his mind while people were rushing around to get ready to hospitale , everyone heard the news . Â
In grayâs eyes everything was blur , dark dots were invading his view and slowly he started to lose conscious , erza was trying to get him to stay awake but she couldnât so she had to pick him up and drive right to the hospital . Â
When gray got to wake up from his long painful slumber he took a moment to figure out his surroundings and what happened before , when he came to his final memory his sprung out of his bed and removed any attached wires to his skin. Â
As he left his room he spotted a few of his friends sleeping on the Waiting bench , he only sparred them a glance and immediately focused on reaching juviaâs room which he doesnât know where it is was in the first place but he got to ask any nurse around; unfortunately no one on this side of the hospital knows a blue head lockser , it really frustrated him , shouldnât everyone know about every emergency patient here ? Â
After hours of walking around halls and doors he finally found a notice board labeled âemergencyâ Â
He finally made it , at least thatâs what he thinks , if this isnât where juvia is he is going to flip in the middle of the hall ; right after he was entering the section erzaâs voice called out to him : âgrayâ Â
The boy turned around and met the brown eyes of his old friend , he got a little bit nervous since he knows that he got out with no permission and literally walked around like a crazy man . Â
âshe is in room 204 , just go straight and turn left on the B sectionâ she explained to him while nodding her head to the direction he was headed to.
Gray was actually surprised a little bit but the urge to see his beloved was stronger than his curiosity nature so he thanked her and hurried to her room , he didnât even think of asking her about her condition . Â
With each step his mind was wondering over her state, how would she look like ? Did she break an arm? A leg ? Was her neck okay? But the question that crossed his mind mostly was ⌠is she going to make it ? Â
He hated the thought of her being sad or sick so the fact of losing her will break him apart that he wouldnât try and fix his life again because honestly speaking juvia is everything to him , as he finally got to the room he also found his  other friends , gajeel was sitting in the bench , leg shaking nervously , jellal having both his hands clasped together and he seems like he has a lot on his mind, Lucy and cana sleeping on each other , looking restless. Â
Both gajeel and jellal noticed him and were relived that he was okay and walking again . Â
âgray , are you alright ?â jella was the one to speak first and got up to inspect him , and gray nodded he hesitated before asking the question , but gajeel beat him to it . Â
âsheâs okay, but we still donât know when sheâll wake upâ his red eyes gazing at the door next to him.
And finally gray got to breath again , more better , the gut wrenching feeling in his stomach was released and he finally got to sit and take a moment of appreciation to  God for saving her life and giving him a chance . Â
âiâll get you something to drinkâ jellal suggested and went to get him something not before squeezing his shoulder for support ; gray was really grateful for having jellal there, his presence always comforted him . Â
After getting an approval from the doctor to check on her , he finally got to see her sight and it crushed him. Â
She had a cervical collar which are results of whiplash neck injury , a bandaged arm and another one wrapped  around her head , she still had her mask respiratory in her mouth to keep her breathing . Â
Gray froze , he was stick into his own place , juvia in this state made him feel so worthless , he couldnât protect her like he promised himself , he couldnât keep her safe , even from far away , even if he didnât tell her how much he loved her , he is so useless . Â
He sat down in the chair next to her bed and carefully grabbed her hand , he was so scared he might hurt her but he couldnât resist ⌠she was okay but at what cost? She is going to be in so much pain after she wakes up. Â
And slowly his lips started to tremble and he tried so much to keep it in but he passed his limits already , his chest was hurting , and his eyes were burning . Â
âiâm so sorry ⌠I'm so sorryâ he kept apologising in his wobbly voice , his body started to shake and he dropped his head on the bed besides her , It has been a long time he didnât feel this awful emotion , fear , relief and sadness; he still canât believe that the woman he loves so dearly almost died , maybe this is a sign that he should give up before he gets hurt again. Â
However , after juvia woke up and started to open up to her a little bit juvia got sad , she didnât want to let him go , she literally grabbed him with her injured arm and told him with all confidence : Â
âif gray-sama wants to leave juvia just because he is scared then I'm sticking to you foreverâ Â
Gray wasnât completely shocked by her statement but he loved her determined nature , it kept hope in him but he canât ⌠not after what she went through . Â
He shook his head â juvia-â he started but was interrupted by her , she caressed his face and told him â unfortunate things happen darling , to all of us , and while it sucks for juvia to be in this condition she canât help it , and you canât either , these things made you stronger not weaker , you should appreciate the fact that juvia is okey and honestly ,juvia would lose herself if you are going to leave me like thisâ Â
Her blue eyes shined a little brighter after she finished her talking , tears started to build up in the corners. Â
Damn it ⌠she is luring him in, and he knows somehow she is right , sometimes things are beyond his control , while itâs going to be hard for him to make his guilt less than before , he will try ⌠for her at least . Â
With that he pulled her towards him and hugged her so strongly like he never wants to let her go .
â you are so good at saying good shit to make me feel betterâ he said after a moment and while her tears were falling she chuckled . Â
Gray broke the hug and went to kiss her in the lips affectionately; and it was the greatest thing he ever did in his whole life; juviaâs eyes were wide like they are going to pop. Â
Okay maybe he went too far. Â
She blushed like a red tomato and smiled like a beaming light and gray matched her smile as well; at that moment he made an oath with himself, heâll make her as happy as he can. Â
he finally made it , he is here right now standing next to his wife in her white gown and beautiful round pale face , greeting all the people who attended their wedding, he actually hates this part, he badly wants to go home. Â
He groaned when the couple left to their table , juvia squeezed his hand with assurance . Â
âwe still have a few couples darling and then we can go homeâ she said , she felt tired as well but unlike her impatient husband she can wait for a few hours or minutes.
âdo we really have to do this?â he asked while waiting at other couples to greet them like a respectful newlyweds . Â
âyes ⌠erza said that everyone should know about this magnificent news , while I do agree with her very hardâ gray snorted â juvia doesnât like too many peopleâ she complained with a pout. Â
âthen letâs run awayâ he whispered in her ear with a smirk and Juvia chuckled lightly and looked at him. Â
âJuvia is actually up for the risk if it werenât for the consequencesâ she replied and Gray sighed with disappointment.
Another time with greetings and whatever, after he comes home with his new wife he is so going to sleep, unfortunately he has to pass the âmagical wedding nightâ like Juvia calls it. Â
Finally, to their delight , the guests stopped coming and now they get to enjoy themselves in the dance hall , and move around slowly basking the warmth of their beloved partner.
âjuvia is very happyâ juvia broke the comforted silence and confessed , gray smiled at her softly and kissed her forehead with so much love. Â
âme too trust meâ gray said and juvia smiled , she grabbed his head and kissed him for a very long time , it was a moment just for him and her , he didnât care if the people were watching , he was so into this blessing moment , and he is grateful for it . Â
Sadly his drunk friend cana had to intervene .
âokay love birds , you got your spotlight , now itâs time to add some hype to the dance floor!!â cana exclaimed , she went to the disco ,  lightly pushed the guy who was in charge of the music and played some R§B music , not a very wedding atmosphere but she got bored, plus gray promised her to make her do whatever she wants as long as she doesnât throw the cake in his face , he said heâll kill her if she does so she reclined . Â
Suddenly everyone started giving their energy and began dancing like crazy .
Juvia and gray had two different expression , one wanted to leave and one had a wide smile and  inspected everyone around them. Â
This commitment was so hard for him to do or to even consider it but now ; if he you asked him if this is worth it ? He will definitely say yes , cause right now his wife has this wide happy smile with a tented blush that shows how excited she is .
âhey gray! Looks like you still want some cake !â a disturbing voice ruined his moment and suddenly felt a cold and saggy feeling in his cheek and mouth . Â
Suddenly he doesnât find it hard that he is going to commit murder to natsu. Â
