Den of Trinkets and Shinies

Sebastian was born into a world in the throes of war. Fifty years prior his birth a unique event took place that shattered the very foundations of humanity, splitting them into the factions they reside to this day. No one knows exactly how this event took place but they all tell the same tale “It took half a second for the sky to turn white and back again. Two days before the fate of the world was changed forever”.

The event caused a change to latch into the very makeup of humans, their personalities morphed and shattered. Bodies bled white and thin, hungering for something they could not reach. Lets not forget their newfound abilities, roaring and savage, demanding to be let free from the confines of mortal bodies that could not hold them.

Populations slimmed in mere weeks to those few who were capable of controlling the sparking power beneath their skin and those lucky enough to be immune to the event entirely. 

Humanity was broken into two parts that day: The hunters and the hunted.

Sebastian was one such hunted soul. His parents slaughtered before him “Tainted by the blinding sun and not fit for the new world”. As he was young and not having grown into his abilities yet, the hunters cruel as they were decided to spare him but take his spark by carving it from his limbs.

His saviour known as none other than Alexander Kavara stormed the house turned butchery and snatched him away from the horrors. Two bodies turned to four before the sun set that day.

Sebastian was raised alongside Xander’s children, Demitri and Cynthia. He grew slowly more out of place while time passed on as Alexander was not of the same sun born strain and could not teach him how to harness his lingering spark.
