I've struggled to leave the house this week due to knee injury and general health cruddiness, but I'm feeling really good right now.

We're gonna go get Korean hotpot/bbq and then hit up a gaming convention so we can work off all that food. XD Convention starts at 2, so we'll have lunch around 11. I don't expect the convention to be very busy, but who knows with how Sony spat on it's customers and pissed them off.

I'm hoping I'll at least find Grim Grimoire Once Again on PS5, since i only have it for Switch and I don't like how lowres and slow it is. x_x; That or Night in the Woods for PS4, it's one of my favorite indies!

I dunno man, things have been so depressing on the physical media front lately. It's a real shame because interest has only picked up in the recent years. People woke up to the fact that digital-only is a rental system, not actual ownership. Now everyone's scrambling for merchandise. before it's too late. I'm glad to have the things I already do, but I did put off some things I regret too.

So first Sony decides no more physical discs for Playstation.

Then Crunchyroll (owned by Sony/derogatory) announced that starting in August their store will only be accessible by Mega and Ultimate tier fans, with no more 10% discount or free shipping ever again! But no worries, totally nothing to worry about. They are having a huge 50% sale on all their available stuff right now to get rid of all the crap in their warehouse.

I noticed the pattern months ago when Crunchyroll wasn't keeping up the site up to date with new preorders, titles and series were being de-listed enmasse off the site, and the few preorders that did get released were labeled as 'backordered' in your open orders, even if you preordered months beforehand! The lack of customer service was just another slap in the face, and a sign that things were not okay behind the scenes.

It got to be such a fucking hassle that I finally moved to Barnes and Nobles and I've been much happier since. But why do I care if I'm not using Crunchyroll for my purchases?

What bothers me about Crunchyroll announcing this 'pay to buy from us' shit is that it lines up with Sony Playstation's disingenuous speak of how physical media is dying but using digital-only properties to skew the numbers to justify it's monopoly shift towards a digital-only future for all. Crunchyroll looks like it's the next to be slaughtered in Sony's mission to destroy physical media. I'm so sad that RightStuf! died for this.

But I won't be played with. Physical or nothing, so nothing it is. My money stays in my pocket! :3c Eat shit Sony, you ass spelunkers....

I don't know, I feel so sad about it. It's kinda like when Blockbuster shut down, end of an era. I picked up several shows I put off, since there are a lot of sales going on right now. I'm afraid if I don't, I'll never get the chance again.

Now I just have to find a place to store it all.

My coworker is so childish. He saw that I took off a few days at the end of this month and decided to take this whole week off at the last minute.

I don't really care, good riddance, I enjoy working alone. What I don't enjoy is listening to his passive aggressive, smug comments when he comes back. It's hard to bite my tongue from telling him the harsh truth that we'd all be happy if he took a permanent vacation and retired.

I have no energy, I'm ready to go back to bed but I haven't eaten anything besides Waffle House this morning. The stress of my cat being sick and going to the vet only to come home with a boatload of medications to take.

I hope he feels better now and the worst is over. But this time I was reminded that he's no longer a kitten, he's a 14yo little old man cat. With all the health problems he's had his whole life, it's amazing he made it past 4 much less to 14.

I just hope that he can make it another 4 years, or more.
