From the Fire

As many of you already know, my father is chronically ill and has been very sick for quite a long time. My mother and I are his primary caretakers, as he has lost all ability to walk on his own, if at all. As one can imagine, this is both physically and mentally taxing for my mom and I, as we are constantly lifting him and sometimes carrying him around. This past week, we've come to the decision to get hospice care for him. We aren't certain when he will die, but every day it is increasingly obvious that his time left with us is very limited. My mother and I both believe that there's a fairly significant chance that he will not make it to 2023, or at the very least will not live much past the New Year.

I'm also still working outside of my caretaker duties, and will be going back to school at the end of this month.

Because of everything I've been doing in my real life, I haven't had the energy to use tumblr much at all, and my rp blogs even less. I anticipate this trend will continue as fall approaches, regardless of what is or isn't happening with my dad. However, because of the end of my father's life approaching imminently, I want to devote as much time as I can to being around him when he's awake, and to my mother for emotional support. I simply will not have the energy to come on here and deal with rp and tumblr.

(As an aside: I honestly hate using tumblr for roleplay, I don't find it very user friendly, especially compared to 2012-14, when I was rping the most.)

As always, my discord is available at any time for mutuals. I really do love you all and your muses, and I'd love to talk about them, but I can't handle tumblr.
