a little short notice, but, anyone interested?? x

oh, man. i don't remember how exactly i stumbled across fun., to be quite honest. it was possibly on just a spur-of-the-moment 'let me google nate ruess and figure out whatever happened to him' because wow when i say i'm a huge fan of the format, i think that doesn't even come close to covering it, and it was probably some random day where i was wallowing over nate's and sam's hiatus. but it wasn't too long after aim and ignite was released because i definitely remember being excited because nate had ~new music and i have a really limited window of time that i consider things ~new. so i actually just checked my itunes and i purchased aim and ignite on 2 sept 2009 and the first songs i'd heard were 'walking the dog' and 'the gambler' and to this day, those two are probably top five off that album and i guess you could say i was a fan ever since!

probably not directly, unfortunately, as he doesn't really have like facebook, instagram, etc. i suppose you could always try fun.'s twitter, but i don't know how much the boys actually see of it, i'm sure their management does most of the updating. best of luck!!  x

nate's mum is still alive! i'm sure he just sings about missing her because they're close and he's from originally from arizona and doesn't live there anymore and his parents have always been there for him and really supportive and i'm sure it's hard to not get to see them/talk to them/whatever when he's so busy and he loves her and all that stuff. so i'm sure it's more just an "aww, i miss my parents~" as opposed to an "aw. i miss my parents D;" kind of thing? hope that helps you! x

to be honest, i'm not really sure! i've seen that instagram as well and it looks like it could be, but it looks like it might not be. like a lot of the pictures of nate are like other people's photos from shows or scans from photoshoots. and even the ~personal looking ones it's like someone else took them and not the awkward angle of him taking the picture himself (if that made any sense). and i never really got that camerawhore vibe from nate where he'd just sit around taking pictures of himself. but it's always hard to say with things like instagram because there are unfortunately some people pretending out there. i don't want to say it isn't, but i'm really not sure. sorry i wasn't more helpful! if it is him though, congrats on getting a follow! :)

he might have more i don't know of, but for sure he has a tattoo of a dog with a blue head like the album art from the format's 'dog problems' (i think it's his own dog, otis) with a dog bowl on his upper arm and "fun." under the crook of his elbow. :)

he isn't! and definitely agree, he is amazing no matter what! :)

i know he used to smoke quite a bit but he announced recently at one of his shows that he's trying to quit. good luck to him. x
