Legend of Mana was one of my favorite games when I was a kid! I had almost forgotten about it when my sister texted me saying that she was playing through it again. Pearl was my favorite character from the game at the time.

Not the best light but it’s done at last! Probably the last mermaid I’ll be doing for#Mermay.

This photographer is a beast, by the way. As far as I could tell (and I do listen for shutter sounds), he took a single shot of each pose I did. Certainly, the flashes only went off once. Such confidence!

fanart is pretty good practice after all, the design you’re trying to interpret is already there so you can just focus on technique. why I had to pick a character with some godforsaken bizarre fluffy scale armor is beyond me though. It’s difficult but /is/ forcing me to learn
