Peter Byrne photographed this awesome straw Dalek sculpture in a field in Nantwich in Cheshire, England. The giant malevolent cyborg was created by Snugburys ice cream shop.

Snugburys has been constructing incredible straw sculptures in their field along side Chester Road for the last 10 years. This year’s sculpture coincides with the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.

Miss McCloud (aka Mels) has graced us with the vocals and lyric writing for a Whovian take on an old classic sea shanty (Drunken Sailor for you who aren’t from around here…though, any extraterrestrial listening in, would surely have heard such a fine thing. but. listen to it here)
