Sentinel by SweetLittleVampire I don´t know if I´ve ever told you about my obsession with Angel Sanctuary… The truth is: I LOVE Angel Sanctuary. Why does it have such a small fanbase? It´s a masterpiece, in my humble opinion. (Though I really dislike the anime. Just saying.) So. Uriel. I kind of had a major crush on him when I first discovered him in the manga, and to this day he remains my favourite character - closely followed by Belial. Uriel is like, very intimidating when you meet him because he is extremely tall, but he´s surprisingly shy and gentle. He´s the Angel of Death and Protector of the element Earth. Also, he´s the Heavenly Counsel and the Heavenly Executor, and thus judges and executes those who have faulted. But because he is so gentle, he had to craft himself a mask, suppressing his own emotions so he could actually do his job. He ripped out his own vocal chords with his bare fingers because he regretted cursing the one he loved so much (he can have quite the temper sometimes). At the end of the manga, he´s still alone, so he´s one of those characters who always draw the short straw when it comes to matters of the heart.
