Chapter 7 - Calm before the Storm
Previous - https://fstandsf0rfrldays.tumblr.com/post/183046130770/chapter-6-the-night-before
The next morning, Chara woke up early to make a simple breakfast of vegetarian stew for Asriel, Frisk and Papyrus. Despite having just awakened, they were already sharp and quick. Chara went to the kitchen and selected some ingredients to make the stew.
Frisk woke up next, getting out of bed and walking down the stairs to see Chara cooking. “Oh, hello Frisk.” Chara replied as soon as a blur of blue and brown appeared in their peripheral vision. Frisk yawns as they looked at the pot. “You’re making breakfast?”
Chara nods to them. They covered the stew before walking to them. ”Before we leave, I need to do a little something.” They went to the front, Frisk was confused, but followed Chara to a table which there were bags of dust. Frisk watched as Chara took one of the bags, which they knew were monster remains, and empty its contents on Frisk.
Frisk nearly screamed, but kept quiet as they stared at the grey powder covering their sweater. “This is to protect you from monsters later on. They can smell you, and will not hesitate to attack, this blocks out the scent.” Chara explained simply.
Frisk stared at the dust quietly, this was once another living thing. It was like pouring blood on themselves. They were spooked, but quietly accepted it and nodded to Chara, who had returned to cooking the stew. The sound of footsteps was heard as Asriel yawned and walked down the steps. “Frisk..? You’re up early.” he rubbed his eyes.
Frisk smiles to Asriel. “I am, did you rest well?”
Asriel nods. “I have been resting well, but have you?”
Frisk nods, ”It’s really nice to be with you.”
Asriel smiles as footsteps were heard again, and Papyrus walks down the stairs.
“Good morning, Frisk and Asriel, do you know where Chara may be?” Papyrus smiles to them, his voice sounded soft, if he was tired or it was always that way, the two couldnt tell.
“Chara‘s in the kitchen, they made stew.” Frisk was slightly concerned, but did nothing to voice it out.
Papyrus smiles. “Thank you, Frisk.” He walks to the kitchen.
Papyrus went to the kitchen and saw Chara, pouring the stew into bowls for them. “Chara?” Papyrus called out as they turned to face him. “Is something the matter?” They looked at him quietly. “...Thank you for taking the two of us in. I truly appreciate it.” He smiles as he walks off.
Papyrus went to get something from upstairs, what he said to Chara was true, but it was not his true intention of why he wanted to talk to Chara. He removed a small orange pill bottle and shook it.
...It was empty.

Chapter 6 - The Night Before
Previous - https://fstandsf0rfrldays.tumblr.com/post/181071365825/chapter-5-fun-times
“I win!” Asriel smiled triumphantly as he fist bumped the air happily, Chara handing the last of the monopoly money to him.
“You have won this battle, but as I’ve mentioned before, you’ve lost the war.” Chara smirked. Asriel tensed up a bit and hesitated. Frisk and Papyrus were both a little confusedc, but before they could question, Asriel responeded.
Asriel replied, “Y-yeah! H-however if you count all our battles this week, then I’m still winning!”
Chara raised a brow, “But I’ve been winning the year thus far.” Asriel huffed, “Golly, you’re right!” He smirked, “You’re still quite the opponent, humans, but fear not! I will continue to win and overcome you!”
Frisk yawned, causing Asriel to return to reality. He relaxed and smiled, “Are you tired, Frisk?”
Frisk nodded, “Well, a little.” Papyrus added on, “It was a long game after all.”
Asriel yawned and rubbed his eyes, “Now I’m tired, too.” Chara smiled as they stood from the couch, “Come, let us get you into bed. And you are still in your pajamas,”
Asriel puffed up his cheeks, “But they’re so comfy, and I don’t even leave the house much anyway.” Frisk smiled at this.
Chara extended their hand to help Asriel up, “But you will tomorrow.” Asriel took Chara’s hand and nodded, “Yep!”
Papyrus smiled. “Well then, lets all get to sleep.” Chara showed Frisk and Papyrus to the bedroom, and pretended to sleep, they did not actually sleep until they had confirmed Papyrus was asleep. They still did not trust the benevolent prince, afterall, he could be just like his brother.

Chapter 5 - Fun Times
Previous - https://fstandsf0rfrldays.tumblr.com/post/179958803675/chapter-4-friend-or-foe
Frisk and Papyrus went tense. For the human child, this was due to how... terrifying an encounter would have been, but for the prince, it disappointed him a little, for he had not changed. In fact, he sounded worse.
“Anyways, how about we decide who will sleep where tonight?" Asriel asked.
"Who wants to sleep on the couch tonight?" Chara asked. Asriel then interjected. "You and me could share a bed! Then Papyrus or Frisk could sleep on yours and the other on the couch?"
Chara smiled, "If you had missed cuddling with me, you should have just told me.” Asriel’s white fur turned pink, his entire face flushed. He stammered over his words, “W-well… I mean, yeah, but you haven’t had…. Nightmares lately…”
"I think me and Frisk are able to share a bed together..." Papyrus added.
“We’ll sleep in your bed tonight, and Frisk and Papyrus will sleep in mine, is that okay?" Chara asked Asriel. Who nodded.Frisk and Papyrus were okay with this, so they nodded. "Then it's set." Chara announced.
Frisk then spoke curiously, “Where are we going? You said we’d rest here until the dogs fall asleep.”
Chara replied, “To the closest safe place in the underground to the barrier. From there, We can plan how to get to the barrier.”
Asriel perked up, “You’re going to the lab, again?” Chara hesitated, “Yes…”
Asriel smiled, “Can I come with you this time? I wanna see dad!” Chara nodded, “Sure, Rei.”
Asriel lightly pulled his shirt forward, from under it, he revealed a necklace on a golden chain. The necklace revealed a golden locket in the shape of an upside-down heart; the shape of a monster’s soul. Papyrus and Frisk could see one side of the locket had an inscription engraved into it, “Best Friends Forever”. Asriel spoke, “You won’t get up early and leave me here this time, right?”
Chara reached under their white shirt to reveal annother, identical locket. Frisk and Papyrus could see a ‘C’ engraving on the side they were looking at. Chara held their locket close to Asriel’s, “Asriel, I promise.” Asriel smiled, “Thanks, Chara.”
The two allowed their lockets hang outside their clothes. Asriel stood up and stretched, “I feel better already. Let me wash the dishes!” Asriel rose from the couch and collected everyone’s now empty bowls and forks. He reached to grab one of the empty water glasses before Chara put their hand on the glass, “Do not take more than you can carry.” Asriel giggled before he stacked the three bowls and put the forks into them. He then put one glass inside the bowls and held the two glasses with his other hand, “The God of Hyperdeath can handle carrying a few dishes!” Frisk raised a confused brow, “Huh?”
Chara gently pushed the table away from the couch, “It is a little game we play to pass the time. He is a monster-turned-god, and I am the only human determined enough to stand against him.” Chara then gave a playful grin as they flopped back on the couch, next to Frisk, “But with two humans here, in addition Papyrus, we may just be able to tip the balance in my favor.”
Asriel chuckled lightly, “You can try!” Papyrus smiled to Chara as Asriel went to the kitchen.
Chara wrapped an arm over Frisk’s shoulder andsmiled to Papyrus, “What do you say? Care to play along? It will only consist of some board and card games since we cannot go outside.”
Frisk stiffened at first, unsure what Chara would do. Frisk then relaxed slightly and decided playing along would be for the best. They spoke, “Sure, what are we playing?”
Chara sighed, “Unfortunately for us, it is the God of Hyperdeath’s turn to choose our arenas.”
Asriel gave a boisterous laugh from the kitchen, “What god would I be if I did not give these newcomers a chance? I grant you the mercy of choosing our three games!”
Chara patted Frisk’s shoulder while smiling to Papyrus, “And you have already given us a great advantage! The games are in the cabinet over there.”
Chara pointed to a short but wide cabinet to the left of the couch, near the stairs. Papyrus opened the cabinet doors to reveal tall, disorderly stacks of various board games. Most of the boxes were warped, worn, or broken from water damage. In the corner, Frisk could see four sets of normal playing cards. Frisk grabbed one of the decks and asked, “Do you know how to play ‘I Doubt It’?”
Chara raised a brow, “Perhaps under a different name. What are the rules?”
Frisk then explained, “Well, we split the deck evenly, and then we decide who goes first. The person who goes first is supposed to put an ace face down and we put cards face down and call out how many of what number. Someone can say ‘I doubt it’ if they believe the person is lying about how many that person put down. If they were lying, they take the deck, if they were telling the truth, the other person takes the deck.” Chara nodded, “And the game ends when someone no longer has any cards. We have played this game before. We called it ‘Bluff’. Is that the first game you want to play?”
Frisk nodded, “It’s one of the few card games I know….”
“That does not answer the question. Do both of you agree to select Bluff as our first game against the God of Hyperdeath?”
“Y-yeah.” Papyrus nods as well
"Do you hear that, Rei?" Chara turned to the kitchen and called out.
“Chara! I told you not to call me that when we're playing!”
Chara let out a small chuckle, “Oops. Must have slipped my mind.”
Asriel huffed, “Liar.”
Chara smirked, “Guilty. Once again the God of Hyperdeath outwits me.” Asriel called out boastfully, “That’s right!”
He went to settle the dishes before returning. He placed his left hand on his hip before he pointed towards Chara, Papyrus and Frisk sharply. He then boasted, “You may be three now, but the God of Hyperdeath will endure over this challenge easily! Go ahead and shuffle the deck! I’m ready for your challenge!”

Chapter 4 - Friend or Foe?
Previous - https://fstandsf0rfrldays.tumblr.com/post/179309706810/chapter-3-a-dark-truth
Papyrus felt guilty, all this time, he was consuming a child's blood. "Oh... I... I'm sorry..." He started quietly. "It's alright. At least you're alive and well, for someone will be very glad to see you."
Frisk was confused by Chara's words. Papyrus however, had a calculated Guess. “Do you mean... Gaster?” Chara nods. “Indeed, Dr Gaster has been very hopeful for your return.” Chara then turned back to Asriel. “Rei, you must eat them, you need your strength.” Asriel let his head hang down, “but...” Chara then interrupted. “It is alright,” they smile encouragingly to Asriel, who looked away. “Besides, you wouldn’t want to hurt our guests, right?” Chara added. Asriel nods. “That reminds me, Papyrus, when did you last take the substitute?”
“Yesterday...” Papyrus replied. “Oh dear, that is far too Long.” Chara replied and took out a few pills from the bottle. Papyrus interjected. “But- this isn’t righ-“ Chara interrupted. “Of course it’s okay, take it as... a gift.” Papyrus, with reluctance, accepted the pills, consuming them, he immediately felt a difference in his energy, he felt less tired, and could speak louder. “I... feel so much better, thank you, Chara.” He smiled gently. “It is my pleasure.” Chara smiled back.
“Asriel, please, have some of the substitute.” Chara smiled to him, Asriel then reluctantly ate some of Then substitute. Before looking away, ashamed. “Anyways, Frisk and I will make dinner.” Chara smiled to the other human child, who was confused and shocked. “But... I can’t cook that well...” Chara smiled. “Do not worry, I will help you. You can even choose dinner tonight.”
The two went into the kitchen. The lightbulb was still not changed, so it was dark. “But what about the lightb-?” Frisk asked Chara, before they silently gasped as they felt something against their neck. It was a red knife, ready to slice their throat. Chara’s eyes were glowing the same red the knife was. Chara approached Frisk and spoke with a threatening tone.
“Do not make a noise and listen to me. Very. Closely.” Chara’s sudden harsh tone made Frisk scared as they gulped and nodded. “Rei is the only good thing that has happened to me in this prison. He means everything to me. If you dare to hurt him, in any manner.”
Chara gripped Frisk’s shoulder tightly, making them instinctively wince. “The monsters will be the least of your worries in this hellhole. I will give you the slow, torturous death you deserve.” Their voice was dripping venom, Frisk was terrified at this, as tears started to prick from their eyes. Chara let the blade disappear before grinning disturbingly at Frisk. “Is that understood?”
Frisk nodded frantically as they cowered in fear. The glow from Chara’s eyes dissipate, Chara then smirked. “I’m Glad you understand, Frisk.” Chara then went to one of the cupboards, pulling out a spare lightbulb.
The stepladder Asriel must have used earlier was still there, as Chara used the stepladder to quickly change the lightbulb. The kitchen lit up, revealing a sink and a refridgerator. “Snails are a large part of the diet down here. Otherwise, a human’s diet in the underground is completely vegetarian.” Chara explained. Frisk looked around warily, still cautious of Chara. Their voice was meek, “I don’t mind… having some snails,” Chara beckoned Frisk over to the fridge, “Come here. Since you are willing to not hurt Rei, I will still let you pick what we shall eat tonight.”
Frisk placed the last bowl of the four on the table in the living room. Each bowl was accompanied by a glass of water and a fork. Asriel had curled up on the couch and had fallen asleep on Papyrus's lap while Papyrus gently tapped him awake when he saw the two humans come with the food. Asriel woke up as Papyrus told Asriel, "Dinner is ready. Asriel." He smiled gently.
Asriel yawned and rubbed his eyes before he opened them. He frowned, “I… fell asleep... again?” Chara helped Asriel to a sitting position on the couch. They spoke with a smile, “It must have been all the cleaning you did today.” Asirel smiled, "You noticed?" Chara nods. "“Indeed I noticed, but thank you for not disturbing the bags of dust this time.” Asriel frowned, “I… don’t want to touch them… anymore.” Chara smiled, "One day, you will not have to touch them." Chara patted to some space next to them, come here, Frisk." Frisk made their way over before taking a seat. "You two look really similar..." Asriel comments. "Asriel is right, you two look very alike." Papyrus added.
Asriel then spoke with a tinge of nervousness, “Do… all humans look this alike?” Chara shook their head lightly, “No. The fact a human with so many similarities to myself has fallen down here is uncanny.” Asriel asked, “Uncanny?” Chara reached for their bowl and fork, “It means something is so similar that it becomes unsettling.”
“Oh, I see.” Asriel smiled. He grabbed his bowl of stew and raised a brow, “The stew smells...slightly different. Frisk, you chose the vegetables?” Frisk nodded, “I…. I don’t really like celery… so we added more carrots.” Asriel smiled, “That’s alright.” Papyrus smiled at the little conversation. Chara had already begun eating, “The three of you should should start eating. It will get cold.”
They halted their conversation for a few moments as the two began to eat their own bowls of stew. Frisk spoke up, “Could... I ask you a few more questions?” Chara spoke calmly, “What is it?” Frisk asked “How do I get out of the underground?” Chara smirked and gave a light chuckle, “If one could leave the underground, the only exit would be on the other side. In the castle.”
Chara waved their hand over the table, “Let us say this table is the underground.” Chara pointed to where Asriel’s bowl was, “And let us say we are about here.” Frisk nodded, “Okay…” Chara ran their finger on the table, “There is still much of the underground. Waterfall, Hotland, The Core, And at last… New Home.” Papyrus listened quietly “New Home is where most of the population of monsters live. As well as the Castle.”
“And it’s in the castle?” Frisk asked, hoping they understood. Chara returned their hand to their side, “Yes, within the castle, resides the throne room.” Frisk nods, “and the king of all monsters guards it... right?” They asked. Papyrus looked aside. Chara chuckles, “to say he is guarding it would be inaccurate, for the only part of the underground that one could feasibly explore happens to be where his throne room is.”
“What kind of monster is he? Have you met him?” Frisk asked. “If I encountered him, I would be in his stomach right now.” Frisk backed up as far as they could and shook. Chara calmed their expression and added, “You would meet that same fate, should he find you.” Frisk returned to their seat and pleaded, “How do I avoid him?” “You must be very wary, assume he’s everywhere, waiting to find you. But most of all… you must avoid blue lights.” Chara replied. “Because... he has... a glowing... blue... eye...” Frisk hesitantly replied, while Chara nodded. “Papyrus told you so?” Papyrus nods and replies. “I told them if they were to see it... it would... already... be... too... late.” Chara nods. “If that eye should fall on Frisk, they will die.” They turned back to Frisk.

Chapter 3 - A Dark Truth
Previous - https://fstandsf0rfrldays.tumblr.com/post/178879133130/chapter-2-update-on-matters
The house they entered was noticeably warmer than outside, which was a relief. The house was cozy, consisting of a living room with tan carpets and brown wavy lines. There was also a table with golden flowers and bags of dust similar to those Chara collected earlier.
There was also a large green couch that looked to be of good condition with a small table in front of it. There was another room, but the lights in said room were off, and Frisk could barely see a floor of brown and gold.
Chara closed the door behind them and latched it shut before placing the bag of dust they had collected onto the table with the other bags. They looked at the two, mainly at Frisk, and spoke. "You can go and have a seat, I will check on our... company." Chara then headed up the stairs as the two sat down at the couch.
Chara knocked on the door of the first room up the stairs before speaking again. "Rei? Are you asleep? I have returned."
Frisk looked at the dark room as curiosity urged them to just have a little peek inside. They let Papyrus sit at the couch and quietly made their way to the room. Upon looking closer, Frisk guessed it was a kitchen.
There was a soft groan as a voice called out weakly. "Chara? Are you there?" Frisk paused and squinted until a figure could be seen on the floor.
The first thing Frisk noticed was that despite having a humanoid shape, the figure was not human. The figure was covered in white fur, had green eyes with thick eye bags and long floppy ears which was messy, like the rest of the fur. It had a different snout from the dog it saw earlier, but it had sharp teeth. They had dark blue pajamas with patterns of rainbow stars. They tried to drag themselves to Frisk, causing them to back up in fear.
"Wait... you're not Chara..." they realised and tried to speak. Frisk remembered Chara was looking for someone, would this be the 'company' they mentioned? "A...Are you okay?" Frisk asked first, while the monster child shook their head. "I tried to fix the lightbulb... but I fell from the stepladder..." he admitted. Frisk extended their hand to him. "I'll help you up."
Just as they were about to help him up, heavy, rushed footsteps were heard approaching the two. Chara spoke loudly upon seeeing the monster. "Asriel!" Chara gave a glare to Frisk as the two helped Asriel back to his feet. "I didn't know we'd have company so soon..." Asriel muttered. Chara smiled. "They are not the only company we have." Chara smiled to Asriel. Asriel's eyes widened. "I found them when I was fixing up some traps."
"Did you run into the dogs?" Asriel asked as Chara nods. "To the couch." The three then made their way to the couch. The Two human children helped Asriel to the sofa, where Papyrus smiled to Asriel. "H-hello there-!" Asriel said nervously to Papyrus. Papyrus smiled. "Hello, what's your name?" He asked gently. "I'm Asriel Dreemurr, and you are...?" Asriel let his question trail off as Papyrus answered. "Papyrus."
"Papyrus? As in Prince Papyrus? Wow!" Asriel was excited, to have met the Prince in person. "I... don't really think I deserve that title..." Papyrus sighed. "Don't be silly! Of course you do." Asriel smiled as Chara intervened. "How did you end up in the kitchen?" They asked. "I fell when I tried to fix a lightbulb in the kitchen" Asriel started nervously. Chara nods. "Did you eat the medicine like I told you?" They asked. Asriel started to scratch the back of his head. "Well, I...uhm- you see..." He didn't know how to start. "You didn't, did you?" Chara finished for him as Asriel nodded meekly.
Chara sighed as they headed to the kitchen. "Asriel, you cannot skip the dosage." Asriel frowned. "But..." Chara had taken an item from the cabinet in the kitchen, a familiar, silver container. Chara returned to the living room and placed the container on the table. Asriel avoided looking at the container as Chara opened it.
Papyrus recognised it immediately. "Is that?" Frisk asked hesitantly. Chara smirks. "You recognise this, don't you?" They asked. "Yes, Papyrus had one too." Chara looked to the Prince, who nods. They then took one pill from the bottle. "And you should know what this is, right?" Frisk nods as Papyrus watched the two.
"It's a... medicine." Frisk replied. Chara chuckled dryly. "You're partially right, it is a substitute." Frisk asked. "What for?" Chara smirked. "What do you think?" Frisk paused before replying. "...Humans..." Chara nods. "That is correct." Chara held it for Frisk to observe. "Why does it smell like... blood?" They asked. "Because it is made of blood." Chara replied.
Surprise was evident on both Frisk and Papyrus's faces. Chara then unrolled the sleeve of their jacket to reveal a bandaged arm. "You are looking at the Underground's supply of food." They said with a smirk.

Chapter 2 - Update On Matters
The voice had chilled Frisk, it sounded extremely suspicious, and dangerous. Papyrus tried to stay calm and composed, despite the fact that the person who asked that question could easily be dangerous. “I’m Papyrus,” Papyrus replied.
“Papyrus? That’s a surprise.” The voice replied. “And you?” That was directed to Frisk. “F-Frisk.” Frisk stammered. “I see, two of you, come with me, now, before-“ the voice was cut off by the sound of howling. “We need to go, now!” The voice continued, the sense of urgency apparent. The two, and presumably the owner of the voice, started to run.
As they faced foward, they saw the figure of the person who was talking to them, it was someone about Frisk’s height, wearing a green jacket and black pants, along with sneakers, all of which, were sprinkled with dust. But Frisk and Papyrus, who were lagging behind slightly, focused on running from the threat. After a while of running, the figure faced them, and revealed they had brown hair, but their face still was concealed by the hoodie. Papyrus however, had a guess that this was a human. When they caught up and faced whatever they were running from, a large white dog monster, running on all fours, was gaining on them, fast.
“Wait for it.” The green hooded figure said out loud, as the figure got closer, Frisk was feeling the urge to run away, while Papyrus was worried about Frisk. The figure went to a tree, and took something underneath the snow near the tree, a rope? Frisk wondered.
The monster got nearer, and as it lunged to attack them, the figure yanked on the rope, which prompted a trap to be unleashed, a spike trap that impaled the Monster, Frisk was surprised, and stunned in shock, Papyrus? He was surprise, so that’s why they didn’t run further.
As the Monster started to dust, there figure took out a plastic bag from their pocket and scooped up the dust from the monster, collecting it in the plastic bag. Both Frisk and Papyrus were confused by this, were they counting a kill? Or did this dust have practical use?
“We must go now. That was a scout,” the figure spoke, snapping them out of their train of thoughts. The three of them made their way, this time walking, the figure, walked quickly, while Frisk and Papyrus walked slowly, looking around.
After some time, they reached a small town. With that, the figure relaxed, “welcome to Snowdin, or what remains of it.” The figure spoke, Papyrus did not need an introduction, he knew the place was Snowdin, but it was empty, abandoned, not like the cheerful town it used to be. The stench of dust was overwhelming, Frisk recognized it to be the same scent, although much stronger, as the scent lingering from the figure.
“A Monster town?” Frisk asked. The figure nods. “Used to be, the residents are either dead or mindless beasts who stay in the forests, very few managed to move to New Home before it got worse.” The figure explained.
“What… happened?” Papyrus asked, in shock that the town of Snowden had changed for the worse, or in fact, the worst. “Let me start from the beginning for Frisk,” they replied while leisurely walking. “Monsters are the natural predators of humans for many, many years, however, being locked away from humans caused monsters to find other ways for survival.”
They sighed, then continued, “but wth you, the potential supply has doubled,” they turned to Frisk, their features were now clearly human, which was a surprise to them both.
“I…I don’t want to be food.” Frisk muttered. “Then, you will do as I tell you to.” The figure replied. “Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I am Chara Dreemur.” Chara smiled.
“Dreemur? As in… Asgore and Toriel Dreemur?” Papyrus asked. “That is correct.” Chara replied. They had reached a house after their leisurely walk, “lets go in.” They opened the door, and walked in together.
Next one!
Lol, Chara’s so calm. Guess they realized it wasn’t going to work out attacking Papyrus. Dreemurr has 2 ‘e’s and ‘r’s.
Oh, I forgot about that whoops! Nevermind that, I shall rectify that error in the future.

“What... happened?” Papyrus asked, in shock that the town of Snowden had changed for the worse, or in fact, the worst.
“I...I don’t want to be food.” Frisk muttered. “Then, you will do as I tell you to.” The figure replied. “Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I am Chara Dreemur.” Chara smiled.
“Dreemur? As in... Asgore and Toriel Dreemur?” Papyrus asked. “That is correct.” Chara replied. They had reached a house after their leisurely walk, “lets go in.” They opened the door, and walked in together.

Chapter 1: Opening the Gates
Master Post -
"I'll be right back," Papyrus told the small human child. As soon as Papyrus was out of sight, Frisk went to look around the house. It was pretty much the same as any normal house until they chanced upon three rooms, going for the first one, which appeared to be a sort of storeroom. They dug around all the treasures which must have been years old and came across a large photo frame, covered by a cloth. As they gently teased the white cloth off, they could see the photo clearly. It was of Papyrus, and two monsters they didn't recognise. One was a skeleton, with a white turtleneck shirt below a black coat. The other being another skeleton with a white shirt and sweatpants, as a navy blue cloak covered most of his body, the shirt and pants peeking through, with the same circle with wings you saw on Papyrus's robe as a clasp on this monster's cloak.
They immediately put the cloak back on, it already felt too long, but it wasn't enough time to completely learn about the caretaker. As they left the room, the sound of something dropping was heard, Frisk ran to the Kitchen, where the sound seemed to come from, but Papyrus was instead gripping the cane with one hand, the other covering his mouth, his eyes flaring orange. "F-Frisk? What are yu doing here? I-It's not safe... please... you need to-" The back of his head was growing some sort of horns while his fingers seemed sharper. "R...u...n" Frisk then took off, their adrenaline fueling them to run as seconds later they heard a roar from where Papyrus was. That only prompted them to run faster. They chanced upon a staircase, which they quickly ran into.
Thump thump thump. Papyrus was catching up, and fast.Frisk ran through the dark, new area. They could faintly see the door, as it sparked new determination in their soul, they were almost there! However, just as they were almost able to touch the door, they were swiftly pushed down by Papyrus. His head had became much like a dog's, with quite a fair bit of sharp teeth, the orange pinpricks flaring as he growled. "P-please! Papyrus! T-this isn't you!" Frisk pleaded. However, Papyrus stayed as he was, not biting chunks off Frisk, and Frisk was still alive, but he was still not back to himself, as Papyrus prepared to bite, Frisk tightly hugged Papyrus dearly, sobbing in fear. That moment, the growling stopped, as if he remembered.
"F...R...is...k...? Is that...you?" Papyrus asked weakly. "Y-yes! It's me! Frisk-" Frisk replied quickly. "I...I'm so sorry- I should've been more prepared-" Papyrus muttered before Frisk interupted him. "It's okay," Frisk told him with a smile. "It is not safe, you must leave, I wanted to protect you, but now? I can't even protect you from myself..." Papyrus sighs. "Come with me," Frisk asked quietly. "But...I can't...-" Papyrus replied, with Frisk once again butting in. "Who are they? The two skeletons, they would have missed you... right?" Papyrus found himself thinking of Sans and Gaster after probably decades. "You're right... but-" Papyrus replied quietly before Frisk replied. "We should look for them, please, and how will I survive out there by myself?" Frisk looked at Papyrus with a pleading look, as Papyrus finally relented. "Okay..."
Papyrus went back to get his cane, then the two left the Ruins together, The blast of cold wind from Snowdin greeted them first, as they slowly made their way out. Frisk was careful, while Papyrus was overly nervous, as they walked, Papyrus asked Frisk if anything unusual had happened. Frisk replied no everytime. After a bit more of walking, Frisk had the eerie feelining they were being watched. After a while, a voice was heard.
"A human? And who are you?"
