Bulletproof

"So you got a hold of my file and read up on my past ops work right? Well maybe if you used thoae savvy detective skills of yours, you'd know that I got out once I found out what the hell Rawlins and the government were really operating for with that unit. I already cleared my conscience long ago Del Toro, and now the way I deal with criminals, assholes, and scumbags could be interpreted as my way of answering to a higher calling. You know that old saying people like to say, 'don't let your mouth write a check that your ass can't cash' detective? Well, that's gonna come into play sooner than you think if you keep running your ass off at the mouth. Try me next time and see what happens. It's gonna be uglier than Russo's face, I promise you that."

"What job? You're talking about the one I do for you right? The only embarrassment here is you attempting to cuddle up to scumbags and jack them off for information. Unlike you, I go for the kill. Because those assholes you collect your intel ain't worth the shit that flies from their breath. You won't be ready the next time you see me, and that's not a threat. It's a promise."

"You might have your way of getting things done Del Toro, but so do I, and last I checked, my methods are a lot more effective than yours. So, if you get in my way of my business ever again, there's gonna be trouble coming your way, and you're not gonna like what happens afterwards."

"It's a great feeling that I'm sure you're gonna end up loving Del Toro, I'll say that much. But while you and your department are busy dragging your feet along trying to figure out what to do next with your little investigation, I've been getting everything that you punks couldn't. I might be inclined to share that information with you, but then again maybe not."

"Never said you make me sick detective. If you did, I'd be hurling all over the place with a severe case of food poisoning. I'm glad I make you sick though, because just seeing me coming down the road just makes your fucking day. Don't you know? I've been locked up before and sent to the slammer, and that shit ain't work out too well."

Her brown eyes gazed up at Frank as he so casually walked around her, with his usual attitude that pushed those around him away from him. She’d learned to not take huge offence to his words, it was just who he was, and how he treated nearly everyone from what she could tell. So his actions to her were not exactly unexpected. She pushed herself up to her knees and then up to her feet as she watched him. “Never said nothin about bein’ a super hero. Not really super at much of anythin.” she said as she tried to wipe off the mud from her leggings. “Not even a hero, but for sure lookin at makin myself a better whatever it is I am” she shrugged as she watched him. “I’d ask what you were up to, but I know you wouldn’t tell me anyway.” 

"Why?" Frank shook his head, letting out a dry chuckle as he continued to detach his weapon and put it back in its compartment. "I'll tell you why, kid. That man that I just completely killed in cold blood was running an illegal prostitution ring. Filming women and children and then selling it at his video store to some of the highest bidders. That's why," he coldly stated. The Punisher didn't have to go after these guys that were amongst the streets everyday; no he needed to go after them. "True crime happens every day in this city kid, and not many people are doing shit about it. Most would rather capture them and see them stand trial for their transgressions. Me? Not into that state of the law bullshit. With my way, every problem would be solved with ease." He scaled down from the fire escape, black trenchcoat on with the white skull brandishing on the chestplate. "Whatever it is you're doing, quit it. You wanna make a difference, go join the military or something."

"Good for you. Already accomplished more than your lackadaisical ex," Frank calmly retorted, reaching the platform of the fire escape he was looking for. After using a small veil of acid, the cement layering a few of the bricks together dissipated, and Frank easily pulled out brick after brick to find his hidden carbine sniper rifle he stashed away some months ago during his time in the Kitchen. After reloading the weapon with the specialty bullets that it utilized, Frank took aim at a video store owner that was coming around the street and without any preparation, fired a bullet at him that went straight through his target's head. "Gotcha."

Rebecca had been spending much of her time alone over the past week or so. She was adjusting to living alone, she was adjusting to being okay with herself. She’d had a bit of a breakdown a few nights before when she realized just how alone she was, TJ had left, so the back and forth of them was now finished, her brother and parents were both dead, she was distant from Mandy and she couldn’t explain why. She’d kept herself cooped up when she wasn’t working. She hadn’t been able to sleep so she dawned her running gear and taken off into the morning drizzle for a run. The streets were surprisingly bare at this hour as she pulled her hood up over her face as she started to run. She stepped up her morning routine a bit as she took much of the Parkour like habits she’d started to learn from Jacob and Evie as she’d overcome obstacles in new ways, the thin film of water adding a new kind of challenge. She was working on jumping down a staircase jumping from rail to rail for each flight and over the wall at the end and found herself face to face with someone as she gasped and fell backwards in surprise into a puddle. “Shit… I’m sorry…” she laughed as she felt the water soak her fully. “I guess I was so in the zone and streets were so empty I just assumed everyone was staying in this mornin” 

After giving himself some much needed recovery time to heal up from hus fractured ribs, Frank Castle was back with his head in the game, focused on gunning down more criminals than ever after that whole Jackdaw ordeal. Parking his battle van in the middle of an alleyway, the Punisher was on his way around the corner to a convenience store to pick up...convenient items for his arsenal when a ginger haired woman he almost instantly recognized as Becky dropped right in front of him, falling backwards into the puddle behind her. "What the fuck are you even doing right now kid? You got any idea how stupid you look--", he looked up to see where she'd fallen from, "jumping from building to building and shit? You tryin' to be a superhero or something? Well, leave that shit to the people who actually know what the hell they're doing." Completely unamused, Frank moved past her, kicking the structure of a fire escape and watched the ladder slide down. "Excuse me," he said, shuffling past her to climb the fire escape.
