Bixbite Shawl
Bixbite Shawl
I finished my Bixbite Shawl this past August. The design is by Veera VΓ€limΓ€ki. The pink and grey skeins are from Sugarplum Circus, the navy blue is from Gynx Yarns. It is super cosy and soft and I loved knitting it. The thick blocks of striping were done with short rows; it was my favourite part of knitting this shawl.

Just a small one-skein shawl, but it is cosy and I love it. I love the colours in this yarn. The colour changes quite frequently, but the changes are not strong enough to create colour barf when knit up. You know, those gorgeous skeins of yarn that have a bunch of contrasting colours that look amazing in the skein; once you wind that skein into a ball you start to have doubtsβ¦

Breathing Space I finally finished this sweater!! I started it last summer, and set it aside after separating for the sleeves.
Also if you are in Canada, Espace Tricot is owned by a black woman as well although many may not have known. A lot of the yarn companies are indie dyers so please support them especially since a lot of yarn festivals were canceled due to COVID-19

Revisiting a finished object
When I finished my sandbank shawl earlier this summer, I was full of frustration because I couldnβt, or rather didnβt have the patience, to make the edging work for me. It is about 25% the width indicated in the pattern and itβs all ruffled and not in a good way. Itβs also narrower than I would like.
Today I decided to frog back to the beginning of the edging. Iβm going to reknit it in aβ¦
