Erik Ellington: “What do you mean I have to grab an air for it to count? Oh yeah, these things are strapped on. So why the hell the do I have to grab a grind? This makes no sense. I quit blading.”

Tony Hawk: “You can’t support a family by being a rollerblader.”

Jake Phelps: “I knew this day would come. You guys have been following me around for weeks, just waiting to catch me rollerblading. Well, here it is. Laugh all you want, but all I want to do is roll around and de-stress after a long week. My girlfriend has been on my back about getting a better job and my boss has been hounding me to work more. Out here, with my skates on, I feel like all that can be put on hold while I catch some air and relax. Now if you excuse me, it’s time to blade, bruh.”

Sean Sheffey: “No matter how old I get, nothing feels as smooth and classic as the royale. For me, that’s when blading really found its soul.”

Ed Templeton: “The toe bonk is no joke. Too little and it looks stupid. Too much and you’ll lose your face. Trust me on this. That’s why I do this arm thing.”

Brad Staba: “It’s fun man. Don’t make such a big deal out of it.”

Bob Burnquist: “Really wanted to up the ante on this one, so I decided to try to drop in from a helicopter. Then I smoked a blunt, thought rollerblades were a good idea, and the rest is history.”

Mike Andersen: “I’ve seen lots of bladers really shred this spot. One of them let me try his skates and this just came out of me. It felt so natural.”
