Crowley sighed, placing a hand on her hip. “It’s a bit life or death.” She pulled out her wallet and flicked through it as she continued. “No, it’s just the outside that they’re watching. The inside is warded against me—me specifically, which means I can’t just go in and out on a whim, I’d have to go in like everyone else. You, on the other hand, are innocent enough, and they don’t care about anyone other than me, so they wont pay you much mind.”

Forcing herself to sober up, Slater nodded solemnly. "Right, very serious then," she murmured before the woman could continue. After that, though, she stayed quiet until she was handed the money, listening to what the demon had to say.
