It was a gruff and harsh tone she met with, like the friction of skidding gravel (as it could be described in her mind). Certainly she hadn't expected such a response to her presence, and yet she still wouldn't allow herself to be deterred quite yet. Often she was far too positive for her own good, even when she was aware that there was currently trouble in Unova. She was also far too oblivious.

Normally, Norman wouldn’t have minded the cold as he had a love for the snow mostly because it involved skiing and ice skating; however, the temperature here seemed to be too cold for his tastes for the most part anyway. His eyes landed upon a young, and cheerful woman standing before him and offered a smile at her.

Considering the amount of clatter from the other in response to the temperatures of northern Sinnoh, obviously he'd been caught unawares by the true intensity of the climate. More often than not was the cold of Snowpoint underestimated.

"Welcome, Serena! Yeah, I'm an Ice-type Gym Leader here, though I guess that wouldn't be too hard to figure out what with the cold and all..." Her ravenette snapped back to attention after momentarily getting lost in her own 'confound' thought.

The Ice-type Trainer beamed brightly in response. As someone who was surprisingly fashion-forward, she'd flock wherever there was a Department Store in any region before she went anywhere else. It was a habit that was harsh on the wallet, but relaxing all the same. She followed beside the kind brunette, trying to upkeep a conversation for the sake of breaking silence.

Honestly, her trip out into the blizzard could be defined as a casual stroll. While some may find her insane for the mere prospect of simply taking a walk out in weather such as this, it truly was nothing. With the fact that she's already adapted to the cold tacked on to the fact that she'd been training her body and mind nonstop, she was practically armed with nothing yet armed with all she needed.
