What sort of vocal tone do you have?
Emma likes to speak to be heard and understood. Mostly because as a princess she is often overlooked in favor of her beautiful mother and handsome father. But being her parents' daughter, she has a way of speaking softly but so intimately that when she does talk everybody gathers around to listen to her. Her voice is sweet and almost child like but the words that spill out of her mouth are anything but unsophisticated. She can easily hold her own in conversations with dukes and princes. Arguing is one of her favorite sports mostly because of the attention she receives from it. In this sense, she is much like her father. Both enjoy being the center of attention, looked and sought after for advise and council even when they are unable to give it.

That’s what little girls are made of.♡
headcanon ✼ elsa
What do people assume about you once your ancestry is revealed? Do you try to live up to the reputation of their ancestor, try to live it down, or ignore it?
It was quickly revealed that Emma would have the same powers as her mother. There were many that were relieved when they found out that the new royal child had taken after her mother. Many still don't see how truly alike Emma and her father really are. People assume that the girl has the same disposition as the regal Queen and Emma does indeed try to live up to this reputation. Though, she doesn't know how disliked her father is. They dared not say so in her presence. While Emma sees her father as her protecter, she sees Elsa as her idol. Her hero, the one person she aspires to be. As a child, the tutoring and practice she received from her only solidified her love for her. She absolutely was amazed by how well Elsa was able to control her power. Which was the complete opposite with the little girl.
With Emma, playdates would often go awry when she could not control her power and would accidentally freeze dolls and little children's hands. Any new potential friends would run in the other direction upon hearing these stories. There weren't many who stayed. But Elsa was always there to tell her that one day everything would come together and no one will be afraid of her. Because of this, Emma is truly well adjusted to living with powers, out of control of not. Fortunately, Emma is completely oblivious to the life Elsa had before she married Hans. She doesn't know of the isolation, depression and anxiety her mother went through while trying to understand her powers. What child could even comprehend this? In any case, Elsa would never want her children to go through something like that. Especially when her only child has the same curse that she does.
headcanon ♕ hans
Do you love or hate one member of the family in particular?
Emma is the epitome of a 'Daddy's Little Girl'. While Elsa took her child aside to teach her right from wrong, Hans taught her how to use a sword. How to grip the hilt so that it doesn't slide from her hands. How to protect herself. To Hans, it didn't matter if his first heir had been a girl. He would teach her how to fight and how to protect what is his. His little girl was a representation of his power. A physical sign that he owned the royal family of Arendelle. Emma was special and he let it be known. Elsa made sure that she was not spoiled but in her father's presence, he showered her in the things she wanted the most. Emma has this immense, pure love for her father. Perhaps because there is a lot of him in her. A Westergard will always love himself and Emma sees this. Her self assurance and vanity all come Hans and no matter how hard Elsa tries to suppress it, that boldness will never completely go away.
headcanon ♔ anna
Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor?
On subject of her aunt, Emma rarely likes to contribute anything. For one, her mother hardly speaks of her and she doesn't have the information to even give out an opinion about the former Princess of Arendelle. As a young child, she would pass the portrait of her only aunt more than twice a day. Often, she'd stand there and stare. Her face had almost mirrored her mother's and if it wasn't for the strawberry blonde hair, they would've been twins. It always astounded the young girl that there was someone else who grew up with her mother. To Emma, there was only ever Hans before she was born. In her mind, her parents had always been together. And when she found herself thinking about Aunt Anna, she became uncomfortable at the idea that her mother loved someone else.
The only reason she had known her name was because she had angered her father into telling her. He didn't like to talk about Anna. No one liked to talk about Anna. Sometimes, she'd hear whispers of her name through out the castle. Oh, if Anna were alive she would not stand for this. Stand for what, she didn't know. But it bothered Emma. This was her family and she saw the memory of Anna as a black cloud hovering over them constantly. Elsa would not dare breathe a word about what happened to her dear sister no matter how much the little girl asked.

The Creation of Emma
Full name: Emma Helena Alessandra Westergard.
Reason, meaning or purpose behind the name:
Elsa had always loved the name Emma, thus it became her first name. Helena because of her father's name, Hans. On the day of her christening, Hans suggested that their daughter have at least one name of her mother's, so Alessandra was an easy choice seeing as one of Elsa's middle names is Alessandra.
Nickname: Em.
Reason for nickname: Shortened version of Emma. The only people that calls her Em are her father and a couple of servants that she has gotten close to.
Race: Norwegian/White. Occupation/class: Princess of Arendelle. Social class: High Class, elite.

Distinguishing marks: Dimple on her left cheek. Only visible when she is truly smiling.
Predominant feature: Her lips and chin.
Is she healthy?: Very. Do they look healthy? Why/why not?: She is a princess and is very well looked after. With parents that that have very good genes, Emma doesn't have any illnesses that might have been passed down.
Favorites:
Favorite color: Pastel Blue.
Least favorite, why?: Red. She thinks it's very ugly and hates the way it looks on her.
Music?: Any music she can dance to.
Least favorite music, why?: Music that sounds melancholy.
Food: Chocolate. Literature: Romantic novels written by women. Expressions: Silly ones. Especially when she was younger. Expletives: Her mother forbids her to curse but around her father likes to say 'shit'. Mode of transport: Surrey with fringe on top, lead by a team of snow white horses. Hobbies: Reading and dancing. Often singing but usually by herself. How do they spend a rainy day?: She hates them so much that she spends most of the day complaining and playing card games with Hans.
Personality:
Are they a daredevil or cautious?: Emma has a mix of both. Depends on if she is with her mother or by herself. Out in the world, she's a much bigger daredevil. She likes to try new things but as the heir of Arendelle, she begins to get very cautious about the things she does. Do they act the same alone as when with someone?: When she's alone, Emma tends to stay a lot quieter preferring not to speak. Around others, she is very charming and people tend to like her. Habits: Emma goes through shoes very fast. Using her powers constantly has ruined almost ever pair she has ever had. Whenever she is out, she usually wears heavy leather boots that can withstand the abuse. Drinks: Emma hates the taste of alcohol.
How much: Never, only wine on special occasions.
Greatest Strength: Her charm. Earned from her father, it's a thing she's very proud of. Greatest Weakness: Naivety. Despite having very open parents, Emma is still quite innocent to the way the world actually works. She believes that it will always cater to her needs and when reality does hit, she is hit very hard and sometimes cannot cope. Soft spot: Her family. She loves them more than she can bear and would do anything for them.
Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: Most of the time, yes. She makes it obvious that she would choose her family over anybody else.
Biggest Vulnerability: Perhaps her inability to fully master her power. Emma is still quite young and does not have a hold on her powers yet. There will be times when she is angry that she cannot stop herself from throwing shards around. Or when she freezes the ground whenever she is unusually happy.
Background:
Hometown: Arendelle. Type of childhood: It was a good childhood. She had the love and training she needed. If perhaps she turned out a little more narcissistic than most people. First Memory: Freezing her father when she was feeding her something she did not like. Most important child hood event that still effects him/her: Her mother first showing her how to make snowflakes.
Why?: She remembers the look on her face when Emma mimicked what she did almost perfectly. It connected the two girls and that connection can never be severed. It was the moment that Emma realized that her mother had loved her more than anything in the world.
Education: Lots of tutors and an unusually amount of sword fighting on her father's part. Religion: Catholic. Finances: Very wealthy. Seeing as she is heir to the throne.
Family:
Mother: Elsa Sophie Alessandra.
Relationship with her: They are very close and Emma tells her everything. They share the same power and that connection is what keeps them close and what keeps Emma always coming back to her whenever their is a problem.
Father: Hans Westergard.
Relationship with him: She loves him dearly. And she would do anything her father asked. Emma likes to impress him with her ability to rule and lead. There are days where she would rather spend her time with him and watch him rule over his subjects.
Siblings, How many, relationship with each: 2 younger siblings. (Undecided on gender and name) Other extended family: Anna, her mother's sister and aunt. She never knew Anna because she died years before she was born. There are portraits of her hanging around the castle. Emma thinks of her as a complete stranger and thinks often on what it would be like if she were still alive. Of course this is futile because she knows nothing about her.
Attitude:
Most at ease when: She is by herself. Emma feels like she does not have to pretend or act when she is alone. She can let whatever mask she was wearing that day down and breathe. She'll usually read or play card games. Most ill at ease when: Someone is talking down to her. When others treat her like she is beneath them and disrespecting her, Emma will feel very uncomfortable and it would be very hard for her to get out of that situation. Priorities: Controlling her powers and marrying someone she loves. Philosophies: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. How they feel about themselves: Emma is very confident. She likes the title of 'Most Beautiful' and wears it like a badge of honor. Past failure they would be embarrassed to admit: Her first kiss had ended in disaster. She froze the lips of the boy and he never spoke to her again.
Why?: Emma would prefer that no one know about this because she is afraid that no other boy would dare get close to her. That her power would scare off any potential true love she could have.
If granted one wish what would it be, why?: To have her parents love each other. She notices when they are angry at each other and she gets very upset when she sees this. Emma loves when they are together and seem like they love each other.
Traits:
Optimist or pessimist?: Optimist
Why?: She believes there is nothing to be pessimistic about.
Introvert or extrovert?: Extrovert
Why?: Emma is much like Hans in this respect. She relies heavily on other's for her happiness and it is easy for her to slip into the crowd and join the conversation.
Drives and motives: Being a good Queen and a powerful individual is what motivates her to do her lessons and go about her day. Talents: Besides her obvious power, Emma can draw fairly well but doesn't do often enough to be great. Extremely skilled at: Piano, harpsichord and harp. Extremely unskilled at: Writing coherently. She is rather good with words but only spoken. She has to have someone else transcribe while she speaks. Good characteristics: Loving, loyal, protective and intelligent. Character flaws: Often narcissistic, very hard on herself, easily embarrassed. Mannerisms: She likes to keep her back straight whenever she is around company and always keeps her hands together as she speaks. Peculiarities: Sometimes she will hum during conversation. It sounds rather nice but often distracting. Others don't comment on it only because they fear it will offend her. Biggest regret: None. Minor regrets: Skipping out on several lessons with her tutor to explore in the forest. It's hot she broke her arm. Biggest accomplishment: Mastering the harp and playing it amongst a large crowd with out faltering. Minor accomplishments: Being unusually good at math, being about to keep up with her father during conversation. Darkest secret: She killed her father's most prized horse with her powers while she was attempting to ride it.
Does anyone know?: Yes. The stable master.
How did they find out: He was there when it happened and replaced the horse with an identical one. Eventually, Hans found out and fired the stable master.
Self-perception:
One word they would use to describe themselves: Lovely. One paragraph of how they would describe themselves: Beautiful, fair and very merciful. Everybody loves her and she knows it. What do they consider their best physical characteristic: Her hair
Why?: She takes very good care of it so that others may compliment on it.
The worst one?: Her hips.
Why?: She worries that they are too big for anybody to like.
Are they realistic assessments?: Absolutely not.
If not, why not?: She's a very beautiful girl and everything about her plays off her other features. Her hips fit with the rest of her body and her hair is just the icing on top.
How they think others perceive them: She thinks everybody sees her as a daddy's girl who owns the kingdom. That she is a princess to be won by the other princes of the lands. What four things would they most like to change about themselves: There is not much she would like to change.
Why?: Mostly because she feels like she is a perfect balance of her parents and does not want her heritage and genetics changed in any manner.
Interaction with other people:
How do they relate to others: She's not very good at relating to others. her life is so different from her subjects that she hardly has anything in common. How are they perceived by strangers: They think she is a beautiful little girl but they don't see her ever being anything of real importance. Friends: They are completely smitten with her, they vie for her attention and she is always will to give it. Wife/husband/lover: If and when she marries, her husband will love her unconditionally and will do anything for her and she the same. She will find a partner that compliments her so well it would be impossible to see the two with different partners. The Hero/Heroin: They would be impressed on how Emma can take care of herself. How do they view the Hero/Heroine: She would be impressed by them. In fact, she would be jealous. Emma's need to be the center of attention will flare with the idea of being somebody's hero. First impression of the char: That she is quite charming and knows her way around words.
Why?: She will speak to you as if you are the most important person in the universe.
What happens to change this perception: She moves on to the next person that interests her. What do people like most about this char: Because she is genuinely sweet and most of the time very likable. What do they dislike most about them: That she is often flighty. Jumping from activity to activity or person to person.
Goals:
Immediate: To be able to control her powers for longer than twelve hours. Long term: To marry someone that will love her. How do they plan to accomplish them: By attempting to be exactly like her mother. How will others be effected by this: Other's will merely say it is a thing of genetics. Emma is not often with out Elsa.
Problems/Crisis:
How do they react in a crisis: She is very hot tempered and her face turns bright pink. She doesn't handle crisis very well. How do they face problems: Usually she will run to her parents, preferring not to deal with things like that. Kind of problems they usually run into: Accidentally freezing things or killing livestock. How they react to new problems: She gets extremely frustrated and usually gives up right away. How they react to change: Thankfully, she is rather good with change if it is a positive one. If it isn't, she'll complain quite a lot.
General:
Favorite clothing: Clothing that enhances her body type.
Why?: She likes the feeling she gets when she slips into something she knows makes her curves look beautiful. If the clothing makes her look awful, she becomes very upset and will never wear it again.
Least favorite: Clothing that is too revealing.
Why?: Because as princess, she must keep an air of mysterious and also because she doesn't feel to comfortable in revealing clothes.
Jewelry: Expensive pretty things that her father gets her. Other accessories: Headbands and bracelets that make lots of nose. Drives: Carriages with lots of rooms and riding snow white horses. Where do they live: In a large castle surrounded by water. Where do they want to live: No where else but home. Spending habits: She spends as much money as her parents allow.
Why?: Most of the time, she gets whatever she wants anyway.
What do they do too much of: Horsing around.
Why?: Emma is quite the princess but when she is out of fancy clothes, she likes to mess around with stable boys and bully them into sword fights.
Most prized possession: A necklace her father gave her.
Why?: He brought it back from his home land, the Southern Isles.
People they secretly admire: Her father's advisor.
Why?: She is always impressed with the things that he says and she believes that he is arguably the smartest person in Arendelle.
Person they are most influenced by: Her mother.
Why?: Elsa was the one that taught her how to use her power. She listens to her because she has to and is influenced by how she lives her life.
Most important person in their life before story starts: Her parents.
Why?: Because they are everything to her.
How do they spend the week just before the story starts: Probably reading and/or flirting with a stable boy.
