I’m watchin over my grandmother after her surgery and I’m helpin’ her walk and all that crap, she’s still drugged out and it’s so odd seein’ someone I’m so scared of be reduced to this child like state, like….wow you’re just. A person. And it kinda makes me feel bad despite all the crappy stuff she did, even when she’s under the influence and talks about her childhood. Or when she learns somethin new that I thought was basic stuff and shares it wit me….like….shes just another person navigatin’ she asked me to lay down with her and cook for her, had me tuck her in and put an ice pack on her. Like, this is the big boogeyman that’s been encroachin’ all my life?? This lady??
