Official Website Courtesy of FJWH Founder
Announcement:
We're excited to tell you that we will have an official website coming in the following months. As we build content, we hope you stick around to see the unveiling!
It was a feat for the founder of FJWH, Crystal, who conceived the concept of FJWH in 2011 - to design an integrated website as she had been out of the practice for almost a decade. Never fear, she is updating her coding skills as you read this! By bringing the audience an official, central, website she hopes to unit all sources and achieve FJWH's main concept at last.
Please bare in mind that although we are not a company or official organization, it is our aim to spread knowledge and love of Japan. In the following months we will be working on our concept and branding. Therefore, there may be some absences and glitches along the way.
We thank you for your time and loyalty,
FJWH Team.
Re-design
Hi guys,
Crystal here - to let you know we're going through a bit of a re-design. This means better, higher quality stuff for you guys to sink your teeth into!
Right now, it hard for some of us to post due to outside forces in our lives but I promise we'll be up and running within the next week or two without a hitch with the new concept and design.
I wish to sincerely thank you for all the time you've given us and hope to see you in the near future.
-Crystal. -FJWH
Quick Fact.
Genmaicha (ēē±³č¶) is a combination of green tea and roasted brown rice.
This tea was originally drank by the poor as a cheaper alternative due the rice acting as a filler. However it is now consumed by all levels of society.

Quick Fact.
Sakura-jima(ę”島) is a volcano in Southern Japan, near the city of Kagoshima. Sunday, August 18th, 2013 marked its 500th eruption this year alone.
You can find more information HERE.
Hey everyone this is the second episode of Saturdays with Bacon, so enjoy.Ā
Quick Fact.
Hiroshima, was not the only city that fell to an atomic bomb in 1945.
Little Boy(code name) was dropped over the city of Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945. It's destruction was credited to being detonated over the city instead of once it touched the ground, which allowed it to have a wider and unobscured reach. Hiroshima is considered to have seen more destruction due to its relatively flat layout.
On August 9th, 1945, the second atomic bomb was detonated over Japan. Fat Man(code name) was originally designated for the city of Kokura. The target was changed after cloud cover obscured the city from view and the city of Nagasaki was chosen for the next target. The bomb missed its target by nearly two miles due to poor visibility created by cloud cover. While the bomb was considerably stronger than Little Boy, Nagasaki's terrain helped prevent further damage.
===
At FJWH we are aware that students all over the world are being deprived of historical and scientific information that could lead humanity to a safer future. Many younger people are unaware of the tragedy that war and nuclear power have caused.
We encourage you to read up on Little Boy, Fat Man; as well as the Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear power plants and the devastation caused by such events as they can be avoided with proper action in the future.
Thank you,
First installment of Saturdays with Bacon. Enjoy!

You guys told us to ask about entertainment and I know you guys may not know, but are there any good Japanese dramas I can practice my listening skills with? I also want to try a Taiwanese drama but I don't know if they are any good or not as it's technically part of China and all I've seen is like dynasty looking stuff from them. I prefer modern comedy, romance can be optional. Thnx :)
Well for J-dramas thereās so many, I would recommend:
Nobuta wo Produce
Hana Kimi
Hana Yori Dango
Love Shuffle
Koukou debut (is a movie)
As for the T-dramas, just for fun I guess because itās not gonna help you with Japanese (obviously because they speak mandarin). Thereās:
Love around, (I just started itās really good)
Fabulous boys
Devil beside you
MARS.Ā Ā
I havenāt finished a lot of T-dramas.

I hope you all are patient with us, I noticed that our personal blogs have more followers than the main page(this one)...I guess we don't share much here but I hope to soon be posting more here!
I'd like to note that any information shared about Japan is from an out-side view, I would share from an in-side view but as all countries, they tend to hide the past and create tales that cannot be fully verified. Either way we do our best to share interesting topics and events that people maybe not know about.
We would like to know if anyone has any requests on the material we will be submitting this next week. If not it will be random from a lottery. We will be creating a video for the posts as well that you can view at your convenience on our youtube channel.
You can request about Culture, History, Entertainment, ect. We will do our best to fill you in on the topic!
Once again, Thank you for following FromJapanWithHeart.
We hope you look forward to the coming months with us,
Crystal.
