The Invisible Hand
An invisible hand has reached down my throat and stolen my voice.
I canât talk louder than a whisper
And when i whisper my whole body feels wrong.
I push past conversations
Because I canât handle theÂ
âAre you alright?â
Over and over.
The invisible hand has stolen my mind, taking over it.
It causes me to want to lash out
It fills my mind with hateful thoughts that make me want to rip my hair out.
It tells me the people I love so much want to hurt meÂ
And it fills me with fear.
The invisible hand has tried to become my only friend.Â
It isolates me from others
And tells me no one cares but the invisible hand.Â
The invisible hand rips at my nerves
Filling my body with unexplained pain.
I did not fall, or run into anything,
No, the invisible hand just ripped at my skin.Â
The invisible hand calls the pain it inflicts on me âlove.â
I am starting to believe the invisible hand.
