Feelin' Froggy

So I fell into a pit and I've been nonstop all about Welcome Home since it came out and its made me newly appreciate Muppets/puppet characters? I dunno, I just love that whole project and I guess maybe I've really fallen on the bandwagon haha ANYWAY this is my fan character for @partycoffin 's project Welcome Home. Her name is Maisie Macintosh and she's what I lovingly refer to as an "Out of Townie". She's an aspiring fashion designer who loves fruit and tries to incorporate their colors/is heavily inspired by them. Besides speaking normally, she also knows 'Emotinese' which is the ability to communicate in emoji/iconography only.

I also made character icons in the Coral Island format because why not.

More from my current spring break, I'm forcing myself to do new things on this break and I decided to try and render Julie from @partycoffin 's wonderful, colorfully saturated world of Welcome Home. She's not perfect in my rendering but I'm very proud of it.

I finished and posted this to Twitter the other day but I guess I might as well share her here as well. Pauline was the original girl that Mario had to rescue when he appeared in Donkey Kong, back when he was referred to as Jump Man. She's more of a supporting/background/side character now that appears once in a while like in Mario Golf and in Odyssey but Pauline is probably my favorite 'princess', even if she's not a princess hahah. Anyway, I slapped her into the fandom of another long existing obsession because I love Final Fantasy X-2 and if I gotta dream about being a magical girl I'm gonna force you all to look at it.
