New pins!! Im soso happy with how these guys turned out, i definitely definitely didnt accendentaly order HUGE ones before these noooo.. but anyways its yutyrannus, Sinosauropterix and anchiornis with plants from the same fossil beds :D

All my miis in tomodachi life so far!! We got: frip (Sinosauropterix) , yutyrannus, ratsune miku, then my all friends sonas echo, haven and clash. Oh and then sticking out like a sore thumb: dr ryland grace and rocky!!

Little tiny plushie puppet rocky!! Probably the softest version of rocky that will exist! I was going to film a video showing off the puppet side but it was WINNNDDYYYYY at the beach and then the threads broke.... and also ignore hes got an extra leg thats gone now

But yeah im in love with this film! Ive seen it twice now and im now about two thirds of the way through the book too. I LOVE LOVE LOVE spec evo so much and im so amazed i hadn't discovered this book before. I dislike how a lot of sci fi focuses on the physics & chem part of *science* fiction and ignores the biology part so its lovely to see a perfect balance of the three!

Andy weir also does a great job of breaking down the physics and chemistry part so a stupid bio/ paleo nerd like me can still understand it. But man i love rocky and his awesome mercury blood steam muscles and beehive colony body soooo much its so interesting!

I dont know i if ive posted this relatively old bit of art, but i thought id show it off since this is a very special day! Witch hat atelier is a very very special manga to me. Ive been reading since the 2nd chapter got translated, i remember back in secondary school hiding in the toilet during double maths so i could read the freshly fan translated WHA chapter. So in a way, WHA is partially to blame for me getting the lowest possible grade without failing in maths. It was also really strange when i switched to the official translation and all the names were a little different!

Anyways heres my review of the first ep with no spoilers!

Well its a 10/10 no notes. my thoughts: its pretty dang accurate to the manga. They really took the pacing slow wich i appreciate so much. the animation no exaduartion is the highest *consistent* quality ive seen in a serial anime. The animation is so smooth and i dont think there were many if any moments where it dipped in quality it was stunning the whole way through. Usually anime will have a moment of sakuga and cut the budget for the rest of the ep or season. The direction was so honestly perfect. It took its time to breathe in the quiet moments wich i realy apreciate because theres always this urge with anime to get to the action quick and not give *budget* and time to the less significant moments. But wha focused on shots like the wind blowing cocos hair, the deer drinking, her having dinner with her mum, cutting the fabric (my favorite part honestly). My SINGLE complaint Wich is such a non complaint and so subjective is in the dub they say "key-fury" but ive always prounounced it " quiff ree "

Wow! What a surprise! Dinosaur artist likes the stand scary monsters!! Anyways this kinda hit me out of nowhere i haven't been keeping up with anime in general but sbr kinda pulled me right back in.. i remember reading the whole ass manga when i was about 15 and then i kinda got the ick from jojolion and then completely forgor about it all im going to be honest.... Honestly reading jojos felt like a fever dream and i cant quite remember all the bits of stb so im exited to watch it in anime format especially since thats a hell of a lot easier than reading it again!

Exeter comic con was this weekend! It was really fun! I had a great time sharing a stall with @somniladon and met lots of lovely artists! I was also super happy with my display this time, i think the new frips flock sign is a banger and having such a dense display works really well.

I got a lovely little haul of stuff and was so pleasantly surprised to see witch hat atelier stuff! Its nice to see a few artists among the sea of absolute SLOP that the rest of the con was vending. So much drop shipping and AI Wich is shit to see. Its a real shame ukcgf pushes out and discourages artists while letting in thieves like these. I think small cons like this are so important to the overall artist alley ecosystem, they’ve really helped me find my footing and grow. So i think its important that they keep going but there becoming cess pits for dropshippers Wich chases actual artists away. These are the events that the general casual pubic go to and its just teaching them to value slop over artists. For example I got so many comments from grown ass adults scoffing that my fursuit tail prices were too high, then going on to buy a much cheeper absolutely abysmal quality tail from a slop vendor. Sratchy fun fur fabric and probably made in a sweat shop. I get it, we cant all afford luxury items like this but then just dont go and buy something so unethical instead.

Yeah thats right im back, specially to do my favourite pass time: hating on pokemon! !

There so uh, nothing? What the fuck is the name browt? Why is it just angry bird rowlet, sobble and pawmi? Also gecqua gives me the vibes of a blue version of the rio 2 frog? But i drew em anyways because ive got a con coming up next week!

Finally got back home to the Christmas presents i bought for myself: TNG Sinosauropterix and 2018 snow miku! Did a lot of shelf rearranging too. The 2018 snow miku figma is my dream figure so im so glad i got it, on a really good deal too. Shes dressed up to look like a crane, i love her crane wing sleeves SO MUCH! As for tng Sinosauropterix its lovely, i love the pose and concept for this figure however i will say they are a bit wonky and the jaw has a out of slack to it. Honestly idk why it has a moveable jaw?? Other than that its an incredible figure and i really hope more figure companies do Sinosauropterix figures in the future. Ive always said i want more paleo figures in the style of anime figures i love the smooth well painted look of them and honestly im not the biggest fan of the fur/ feather texture on western figures if it was painted on and cell shaded imagine…. Also anime style dinos with fantasy themes that are not just “WOW KILLING MACHINE FIRE BREATHING DINOSAUR FOR BOYS!!” Like come on guys its 2026. We can do better guys. When i have free time i wanna sculpt an autumn sino figure with brown leaves around it, just a serine scene where its not like killing anything you know.
