My hot take? The Amazing Digital Circus in theaters doesn’t do much for indie content. In fact, it might’ve (maybe not even “might’ve”!) been Iron Lung that had a larger impact on indie film making. It could’ve even been BFDI (i think?) because it was yet another indie thing that was released In theaters! Or did we forget that.

I'm SO tired of people pretending Gameoverse is not misogynistic and defending it like their lives depend on it. "If you think curvy women are inherently sexual content that's YOUR problem" the problem is not that the women are curvy, the problem is that they all have the same exact bodytype (minus the "disgusting girl used for laughs trope" crab) and the two main characters get tied up twice and wear bikinis for majority of the VERY FIRST episode's runtime. I'm sorry, but if you think these screenshots don't look like goonerbait you're just playing dumb on purpose

Speaking of these screenshots - wow don't you love it when the supposedly main female character can't do anything without her male bestie deuteragonist? 🤩 isn't that so cool and awesome and totally not a "even if women can fight they do it worse than men and need to be rescued by them" trope 🤩 this project has been in production for 14 years and it shows/derogatory

Also the very first draft of the show has this lovely background character named Ovary-Raptor. Like oviraptor but ovaryraptor because it's PINK and has HEART PATTERN because it's probably A GIRL or some kind of homophobic caricature

But don't listen to me, after all I'm just a "petty vocal minority" and every big YouTuber is calling Goonerverse "PEAK" and "THE BEST GLITCH SHOW that will SAVE THE INDUSTRY" so it's probably really cool actually

Okay so something interesting about ovary-raptor is that, in the original Gameoverse (the one from 12 years ago), ovary-raptor is actually a male; however, he is played off as very stereotypically gay. Take this as you will.

am i the one person in the tadc fandom that like. thinks about the age gaps. like uhh jax and ragatha shippers hey so um. that’s an 8 year age gap. ragapom is a 5 year age gap. abstractradgedy or however you spell it is a 4 year age gap which isn’t as bad but still kinda a big gap.

Okay so i have a better take for this: so yes some of the age gaps for ships are whatever but i think what would matter more is the emotional maturity or in general the maturity of said characters.

This is honestly why i don’t like basically any ship with Jax because he is so incredibly insufferable and immature that, to me, it doesn’t really matter how well they get along or how heart-to-heart they are or whatever. He acts like a 15 year old and would probably be an ass to date. And i feel like this especially applies with funnybunny because pomni definitely seems to be more mature and responsible compared to jax. If anything i would see them better as a platonic ship.

Also i feel like this could maybe apply with caine? Because he acts kind of immature at times as well. Honestly i don’t think i need to explain further.

Anyway i still have beef with jax/zooble x ragatha because that is nearly a ten year age gap. Shouldn’t it be common sense that a ship that has nearly a ten year age gap is weird or am i just a sensitive freak?

Like imagine getting hired by the same company that, 30 years ago, kicked him out of his one biggest places of comfort (the young geniuses program), which is even worse when you consider it’s heavily implied he came from an abusive household, and then when he walks into the building one of the first things he sees is a tall, blue, vaguely monkey-like, bright red-lipped plushie.

And then he became one of the highest ranking employees but everyone hates him so much that he’s almost a running gag. Then he gets turned into a literal computer. And yeah while it is deserved since he made various mistakes and was given various warnings, it would still suck to be used as a thing to answer questions.
